Sulakshana Biswas is a writer, director, and creative professional with over 15 years of experience in documentary, television, web series, and graphic novels. She directed the documentary Aschhe Bochhor Abar Hobe, which explores Kolkata's UNESCO-recognized Durga Puja festival, focusing on its evolution into a cultural and artistic event. The film features renowned artist Sanatan Dinda and art historian Tapati Guha Thakurta.
In television, Sulakshana has worked on a variety of shows. Her contributions include writing for the thriller series Kadiyaan and the crime show Special Task Team, as well as working on popular programs like Diya Aur Baati Hum and Nisha Aur Uske Cousins during her tenure at Disney Star. Additionally, she has experience in the digital content space, having served as creative director for Alt Balaji's series Gandii Baat, Hai Taubba, and Crimes and Confessions.
Sulakshana is also an accomplished graphic novelist. Her debut graphic novel, Doshhu, has been included in the curriculum at Ashoka University's Center for Studies in Gender and Sexuality. She is currently working on Chariot in the Clouds, a graphic novel adaptation of the Bengali epic Meghnadbodh Kabyo.
