Born and raised on the Canadian prairies, Doug's first career was radio, hosting the morning show at various radio stations from Brandon, Manitoba to Yellowknife, NWT. Doug has also been a theatre sound designer, government webmaster, and for a time, a parking lot attendant. In 2001, he and his wife quit their government jobs, sold their house, packet their belongings including two dogs, Al and Molly, their two cats, Kato and Lemmie, and all of their belongings to move to Toronto so they could break into the entertainment industry.
Doug graduated from the Humber Comedy course, won the Phil Harman Award, and fell head first into writing and voicing kids animation. 20 years later Doug is now an Executive Producer and Story Editor as well as mentoring students taking the 4th year Animation Course at Sheridan College.
Doug is currently developing Camp Canuck, an 8-10 action comedy with Little Black Stone and Big Studios. His small town feature film Bingo is currently in development with Wildling Pictures, and his half hour dramedy based upon his years as a Radio DJ in Yellowknife is also in development with Wildling Pictures.
