Honored as one of the Variety Ten, a recognition of ten leaders and innovators in TV & Film by Variety. Jonathan joined Netflix on staff in 2014 to establish a Production team in support of the streamer's first venture into original programming, supporting a wide array of scripted, comedy, and documentary programming. He leads the Nonfiction & Live Teams covering Documentary Series, Documentary Films, Reality/Unscripted, Sports, and Live TV at Netflix.
Prior to starting at Netflix, Jonathan led Production at MTV, creating and producing iconic programming for over 15 years, including "Catfish," "True Life," and "Cribs," among many others. Highlights of specials Jonathan has produced include "Video Music Awards," "Movie Awards," "Miley: The Movement," "Drake: Better Than Good Enough" and "Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside" as well as MTV News, Documentaries, Series and Specials.
Jonathan's career started with working for the legendary Dinah Shore on her series "A Conversation With Dinah Shore" and on numerous series and specials with Dick Clark. He served as a Production Manager or Line Producer on numerous network specials throughout the years including "Academy Awards," "Grammy Awards," "American Music Awards," and numerous specials from the White House.
Jonathan's mentor was John Hughes as both originated from Northbrook, Illinois and was involved or on set of iconic films "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "The Breakfast Club," and "Home Alone." Jonathan is the son of a rabbi and resides in Los Angeles, California.
