Driven by a deep passion for storytelling, María embarked on her journey into the audiovisual world. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, her career began after a period of study and professional work abroad, equipping her with a global perspective and the ability to lead teams and manage large-scale productions.
María initially balanced international service projects with national productions, excelling as a Line Producer in films such as Intruders and Verbo. Through her own production company, Madrugada Films, she also produced the feature film Hierro. Her background in Photography and Fine Arts has been instrumental in shaping her creative approach and distinctive vision for each project.
Over the years, she has contributed to major international productions filmed in Spain, including The Bourne Ultimatum, Sahara, and Emerald City. As an Executive Producer, she has built a strong reputation through collaborations with leading production companies and platforms such as Netflix, Sony Pictures, ITV, and Disney. Her expertise has been pivotal in the production of series like Kaos, Fool Me Once, and The Blacklist, as well as blockbuster films such as Uncharted and Spider-Man: Far from Home.
As an EP and partner at Ánima Stillking Films, María continues to offer a boutique production service, where her enthusiasm and experience translate into exceptional filmmaking.
