David Vernon is a Los Angeles based producer and screenwriter. He is producing "LA I Love You", the latest in the 'Cities of Love' series. He was most recently a producer and writer on the film, "Berlin, I Love You". He wrote four of the segments in the film, including "Berlin Ride" directed by Peter Chelsom and starring Jim Sturgess. He also wrote "Lucinda in Berlin" which starred Luke Wilson and Dianna Agron.
He wrote the screenplay for "The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green", based on Eric Orner's comic strip. That movie premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival and was released theatrically by Regent Films. David is the writer/producer for the upcoming movie, "Black Knight" being produced by The Really Useful Film Company. David has also written the upcoming, "Close Your Eyes and See". David is a writer/producer on several other projects, including, "One", "Dance With The One Who Brought You" and "The List".
He was born and raised in New York, the son of cult comedian, Jackie Vernon (voice of Frosty the Snowman). David studied film at New York University and worked as the Head of Development for a producer at Warner Bros. David is also a published fiction writer. His essay about growing up as the son of the voice of Frosty appears on Salon.com yearly and was published as one of their best essays in a hard cover book. David also taught screenwriting in New York and Los Angeles. He was chosen to be a member in the Find Film Writer's Lab. He lives in Los Angeles.
