Ari Cheren is a US-based television and digital producer best known for the series The Amazing Race and Naked and Afraid, where he served as Field Producer, Producer and Supervising Producer, respectively. Cheren is known as an outdoor and adventure producer in the male space, working predominantly for Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel and National Geographic. Having worked in more than 55 countries, Cheren has a reputation as a reliable international producer no matter where his projects take him.
Prior to producing and directing for digital and television, Cheren was an international travel and adventure sports correspondent, covering events around the world for media and corporate clients. He covered six seasons of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for the UCI website, mountainzone and Outside Magazine - as well as many racing teams. He also covered two Eco-Challenges (1999 and 2002) in Patagonia and Fiji, and two elf Authentic Adventures (1999 and 2000) in the Philippines and Brazil. On all his assignments, Ari not only wrote extensive written coverage, but also shot digital photography and video.
Ari started his career as a magazine editor and art director, helping create scores of editions of the infamous "28th Street Magazine" for Warmington Publishing while attending USC, then moving on to "U. The National College Magazine" and finally Petersen Publishing's cycling magazine "MTB"
He lives in Los Angeles where he enjoys mountain biking, sailing and traveling nearly 100 days a year.
