Dhruv Dhalla is an Indian music composer. He was born and brought up in New Delhi and enrolled for the Western composition course at the Musician Institute in Los Angeles.
His first project in Bollywood was Chak De Phatte, which he composed for Khosla Ka Ghosla film in 2006. The song turned out to be a major hit. It was followed by the title song Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye in 2008.
This was followed by a series of projects including Dil Kabaddi, Tere Bin Laden, Sahi Dhande Galat Bande, Via Kargill, Bumboo, Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene, among others.
Dhruv has been more selective about the kind of work he takes on. In 2017, he composed music for Coffee with D and Signal. A few years later, he worked on several other projects, such as Ahaan, Aapke Kamre Mai Koi Rehta Hai and Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq se.
From 2021 to 2024, he has been composing music for popular television show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. His recent work includes Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, starring Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor.
