Leo Vezzali came to Los Angeles in 2001 after two years as Creative
Director and co-owner of San Francisco based Shockwave Pictures. From
2001 through 2002 Leo worked as Lead Compositor in the Theatrical
Finishing Department at Hammer Creative Advertising, logging hundreds
of hours on the Tremor System, finishing 2K Trailers for Sony, Fox,
Warner Brothers, Disney, Columbia, New Line, Paramount, Lions Gate and
many more. In 2002, he moved to Reality Check Studios in Hollywood
where he served as a visual effects supervisor, artist and finisher.
During this time, Leo expanded into stereo 3D work; just prior to
founding Identity Studios, Inc., he was the Digital Intermediate
Production and pipeline Manager on James Cameron's 3D IMAX film, Aliens
of the Deep. He then moved on to work on the critically acclaimed
native stereo rockumentary U23D and created the Stereoscopic
Promotional and Sales Reels for Real D. As Stereoscopic Supervisor of
Identity FX Leo has co-developed a client list that includes Sony
Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures, NBC
Universal, Dreamworks, Columbia Pictures, Millenium Films, The
Weinstein Company, Discovery Channel, Dimension Films, Magnolia
Pictures and many more. Most recently, Leo made a significant
contribution to perfecting the 3D experience for The Amazing Spider-Man
and Prometheus and was the in-house 3D VFX Supervisor for Green
Lantern, Conan The Barbarian, and Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn
Treader. Leo recently served as on-set VFX Supervisor for a major Nike
commercial campaign, and heads up Identity FX's Stereo Optimization and
4K Theatrical Finishing Department, featuring the Mistika system.
