Lydia Antivalidis
- Location Management
- Production Manager
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
Lydia grew up in a passionate and lively Greek home in Skåne, the southern tip of Sweden. Annually the family would travel by car, a 2500 km long journey, to spend summer holidays by the Mediterranean Sea with the extended family. The journeys left a strong imprint in young Lydia in the sense of with what eyes she sees and visually translates places into stories.
From early on she knew "telling compelling stories" was her path. And as a teenager she studied acting, leading into television and hosting at a regional television channel. Between the years of 1996 and 2009 she was a Host and Segment Producer of a travel show for Swedish Public Service Television - SVT.
In 2003, she made the decision to work closer to home, starting off as a Second Second Assistant Director on a feature film. The years to follow she worked on several Film, Television and Commercial productions as a Second Assistant Director, Project/Production Manager, Art Director, Director and Concept Developer.
Since 2011, she has been making a name of her self as a creative and visually competent Location Scout and Production Manager working with several hi-end International Advertisement campaigns such as Ikea, Volvo and National Geographic. But also as a highly appreciated Location Scout for international drama productions incl. BBC's TV Series 'Wallander' starring Kenneth Branagh.
Concurrently, picking up where she left of - telling compelling stories from places and people around the world. She is now in pre-production of travel programs/series as a Director and Writer, pitched thru her own company, Lydiasplanet.
