Sky Gewant

Born into storytelling as the son of traveling marionette puppeteers, he grew up immersed in a fantastical production, always studying the audience. Sky also performed. He spent 15 years in a dance company, traveling to prisons and other unlikely stages, evolving his classical training into modern art forms, eventually becoming a b-boy and amateur music producer. As a creator, these experiences have given him grit, empathy and an ever-open mind. As an editor, he brings an uncanny sense of emotional pacing, movement and character. He thrives in the creative process and collaboration. Sky is a native New Yorker and earned a BFA in film editing from The School of Visual Arts.
