Angelita Esperanza is an Actor, Director and Producer who divides her time between Los Angeles and New York City. She has worked on major network shows including Tommy and Instinct on CBS, Quantico on ABC and Crossbones on NBC. She has worked alongside Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Edie Falco, Academy Award nominee John Malkovich, Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG Award winner Claire Foy, Obie and Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood, Golden Globe winner Christian Slater and Olivier and Tony Award winner Rufus Sewell. Recent acting credits include Criminal Minds on CBS and The Blacklist on NBC.
She's received recognition as a Producer for the short film Grind starring Anthony Rapp from FilmOut San Diego, Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, NYC Downtown Short Film Festival and SENE Film, Music and Art Festival.
She received Best Supporting Actor nominations from the Brightside Tavern Short Film Festival and Hang Onto Your Shorts for her work in the short film The Pleasure of Being Served.
She has directed two productions with The Virago Ensemble - a full reading of Jane Chambers' Last Summer at Bluefish Cove and the short play written by Serena Cates entitled Kiss that Frog in which she was also featured as part of the ensemble.
She has self-produced and directed two solo cabaret shows entitled Dare and No Apologies, both presented at The Duplex, one of New York City's most historic cabaret venues. The latter received a great review on Cabaret Scenes.
She earned her BA in Television Production from Loyola Marymount University and trained at Circle in the Square's Theatre School in New York City. She recently completed the Shakespeare training program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, playing Quince, Egeus and Peaseblossom at their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
She continues to train in acting, directing, tap dancing and singing while working full time as a producer and actor on major dramas.
