Orlando Moguel Granados, born on April 14, 1973, is a Mexican actor and producer.
Moguel studied drama in 1997 at "Centro de Teatro y Danza", now called "El Circulo Teatral de Alberto Estrella". He continued his studies with film directors, Arturo Ripstein, Felipe Cazals, Ignacio Ortiz Cruz, Jorge Zepeda and acting coach Raúl Zermeño (RIP).
Orlando began his professional career in 2000 and focused more on film and TV series. He opposite Tim Roth in the film "600 miles" (2015) a mexican drama film. It was screened in the Panorama section of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival where it won the award for Best First Feature. "600 miles" was shortlisted by México to be their submission for the Academy Award Oscar®, for Best Foreing Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards. The film won the Ariel Award and was nominated for Best First Fiction Film at the 2016 Platinum Awards.
Orlando was played a pervert photographer named Diego Fenton, on the TV series "Falco" (2018), Amazon prime video. Directed by Ernesto Contreras. The series won the 2019 International Emmy® Award, for Best Foreign Language Series.
Other projects in which he has participated are: B-167-980-098, directed by Mariana and Santiago Arriaga, written by the prestigious screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga (Amores Perros, 21 grams, Babel). And the Netflix original series Crime Diaries The Candidate: Colosio. Directed by Natalia Beristain and Hiromi Kamata.
Moguel landed the title role in "ColOZio" (2020) a film directed by Artemio Narro. "ColOZio" had it's World Premier at The International Film Festival Rotterdam 2020.
Orlando appeared on "On Chilhood" (2010), directed by Carlos Carrera (The Crime of Padre Amaro), one the best Mexican directors. He opposite Jimmy Jean - Louis in the film "The empty box" (2016) directed by Claudia Sainte - Luce.
Moguel has collaborated with film directors and producers Jorge Michel Grau, Michel Franco, Santiago García Galván, Javier Patrón Fox, Pitipol Ibarra, Carlos Bolado, Fernando Sariñana, Humberto Hinojosa, etc. And has shared the set with the actors Joaquin Cosio, Damián Alcázar, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Ilse Salas, Dolores Heredia, Roberto Sosa, Luis Felipe Tovar, etc.
He is also an associate producer for "Dispositio" (2014), Tv Series "Frame" (2020), and cortometraje "Taxi" (2021).
