- His favorite directors are Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and Billy Wilder.
- Directed his first professional short film in 2005. "Alex and the women" was written so, that the action would happen in some kind of nether-world, because there was no money for actual sets. The film was entirely shot on a black limbo in a sound stage, with just a couple of pieces of furniture.
- Born in Milan, Italy, of Italian and German heritage. His parents are not in show business.
- Started acting in grade school, but wasn't very good at it, so decided to never be on stage or screen again. Changed his mind in his mid-twenties. First speaking part was the drunken choir director in "Our Town".
- Became a producer out of necessity. Nobody in his first theatre group had any idea how to do it. He thought he did.
- Shot two of his films in Louisville, Ky.
