Netflix has submitted a total of 32 TV programs for awards consideration at the upcoming Golden Globes, and 20 for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Gold Derby has learned exclusively.

Some of the streamer’s notable TV titles include Season 2 of “Squid Game,” the survival thriller starring Emmy and SAG winner Lee Jung-jae; popular new comedy “Nobody Wants This,” about an agnostic woman (Kristen Bell) and an unconventional rabbi (Adam Brody); and “Baby Reindeer,” the buzzy limited series that recently set the Emmys on fire, going home with six trophies. Just as Agatha was about to give birth, Death showed up to claim the child; however, the witch pleaded for more time and seemingly bought that by killing witches. On the one night - at Nicky's prompting - that she didn't, Death finally came for him and Agatha, ashamed of her actions, spent hundreds of years murdering her fellow magic-users on the "Witches' Road" to avoid being reunited with the boy.

Much has been said about who his father could be and, in a new interview, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer dropped her biggest hint yet that Rio Vidal/Death conceived the child with the show's title character.

Unlike the majority of Marvel Studios movies and shows, Agatha All Along did not feature a post-credits scene after the recent two-episode finale.

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer has confirmed that she did write "a number of post-credit scenes," which she has "done on every Marvel project [she's] ever worked on," but "ultimately, it was a Marvel decision not to have a tag on this show."

Agatha All Along, which for my money is the best show to come out of Marvel Studios in a minute, ended on a cliffhanger, as Marvel shows tend to do. It’s time to update your awards predictions at Gold Derby, because a major TV contender has just announced its strategy for the upcoming 2025 kudos. “Agatha All Along,” Disney Plus’ spin-off of “WandaVision” starring Kathryn Hahn as a centuries-old, sassy witch, will submit in the comedy categories at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and next year’s Emmys, per our sister site Variety. The show was originally designed to be a limited series with a beginning, middle, and end.

Two years ago, Hahn received nominations for “WandaVision” at the Emmys and Critics Choice Awards in the limited series races for playing Agnes The Nosy Neighbor, aka Agatha Harkness. Under the banner of Marvel Television Studios, the hit new spin-off series “Agatha All Along,” starring Kathryn Hahn, will be submitted in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season, including the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and next year’s Emmy race, Variety has learned exclusively. Most of all, his spell-created dimension was inspired by “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road,” which Agatha’s 6-year-old son, Nicky Scratch, originated in 1756. That’s also the same year that Agatha’s former lover, Death (Aubrey Plaza), took Nicky’s life, and despite her willingness to satisfy Death’s latest demand of Billy, Agatha swerved at the last minute, sacrificing herself instead to save Billy.

Agatha All Along proved to be a satisfying journey for fans, though the absence of characters like Mephisto, Speed (who was at least hinted at for a future story), and Hulkling did disappoint some.

There's plenty of time for them to appear in future stories, of course, and showrunner Jac Schaeffer has now confirmed there were once plans for Teddy Altman to appear in the WandaVision follow-up.

In fact, William Kaplan/Billy Maximoff's boyfriend, Eddie (Miles Gutierrez-Riley), was going to be called Teddy! Had that happened, we'd imagine his true identity as a Kree/Skrull hybrid would have been saved for a post-credits scene or something along those lines.

"There were early conversations [about Hulkling]," Schaeffer tells Entertainment Weekly. "[Eddie] was originally called Teddy because we were looking at the artwork and thinking about that. That was a Marvel decision to not have him be Hulkling for the purposes of our show."

So, firstly the title is a bit misleading as Netflix had renewed the Keri Russell-led political thriller comedy-drama series for Season 3 twenty days before Season 2 came out.

Despite The Diplomat Season 2’s shorter runtime compared to its first season, the streaming giant seems to have immense faith in the series as they renewed the series nearly weeks before the second season was supposed to come out and now we know why. The way Season 2 ends it opens up a lot more possibilities to where the series could go next as Kate Wyler grapples with new and dangerous world she is now in.

When Jac Schaeffer signs onto Zoom roughly 18 hours after the two-episode finale of her series “Agatha All Along” debuted on Disney+, she looks at once relieved and slightly queasy.

“From when it dropped to about an hour ago, I’ve been feeling pretty shaky,” the showrunner says with a laugh. “We dropped a lot of content — a lot of moments.”

Schaeffer isn’t exaggerating. The episodes, titled “Follow Me My Friend / To Glory at the End” and “Maiden Mother Crone,” are chockablock with surprise twists and revelations that upend the story of Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) and the coven of women who venture with them onto the fabled Witches’ Road. For one thing, it turns out the Witches’ Road never really existed — until Billy unknowingly summoned it into being.

As you may recall, it's previously been reported that Agatha All Along completed its scheduled reshoots in only one day. With the WandaVision spin-off, Marvel Studios may have finally cracked TV, delivering a satisfying beginning, middle, and end, all with an appropriate budget thanks to practical sets and an effective use of VFX.

Today, scooper @MyTimeToShineH brings word about some of the changes Marvel Television made to Agatha All Along during those reshoots and production in general.

They start by confirming that the Scarlet Witch was never in the series, so that didn't change (Alex Perez has also acknowledged that he was way off base with the claim Wanda Maximoff would be found in a dormant state at the end of the Witches' Road).

Original plans called for Agatha Harkness to ask Death to "retire" her Rio Vidal form, prompting the powerful entity to respond, "But this is the me you fell in love with.

Mensah told TV Line that filming wrapped in the UK. She also shared that season 2 should be released on Netflix later this year. It's not the first time that we've heard the new season is going to premiere this year, so that's a great sign for fans who are eagerly awaiting the premiere of season 2 of the Netflix original series starring Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, and David Gyasi.

Mensah also told TV Line that season 2 is “even better, more dynamic, more everything. The tensions have mounted in a way that is really propulsive and exciting.”

In last night's two-episode finale of Agatha All Along - you can read our in-depth recap here - we were treated to some huge revelations and surprises. Of course, among the biggest were those comic-accurate costumes.

Firstly, Billy Maximoff emerges from the Witches' Road with full control of his powers and suits up as Wiccan. Wearing a costume that's almost identical to his look on the page, Billy looked phenomenal in action, particularly with a crown - in place of a headband - that links him to his mother, the Scarlet Witch.

It didn't end with Billy, though. With Death unleashed, the true face of "Rio Vidal" is finally revealed and Marvel Studios has translated this character from the page to screen in a really exciting way.

There have been rumblings online we'll see her again, so the hope now is that she might serve as an ally to Robert Downey Jr....

Picking up after the major cliffhanger in the Season 1 finale, “The Diplomat” Season 2 sees Keri Russell’s Ambassador Kate Wyler reckon with her newfound suspicion of the British Pm while awaiting word on her husband’s well-being. Season 2 will also introduce Allison Janney as Vice President Grace Penn.

The Diplomat season 2 episode 6, “Dreadnought,” begins with Kate and Hal Wyler (Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell) discussing the big revelation at the end of episode 5. Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) and the Americans are actually responsible for the attack on the Hms Courageous and for killing the Scottish independence movement.

Hal also reveals that the President doesn’t know what Grace did. Hal tries to slow down Kate. She wants to blow this up and make it a big deal, but Hal doesn’t want her to.

The Diplomat season 2 episode, “Our Lady of Immaculate Deception,” begins immediately where the fourth episode ended.

In Scotland, Margaret Roylin (Celia Imrie) revealed to Prime Minister Nicol Trowbridge (Rory Kinnear) that it was actually her who hired Roman Lenkov to create a conflict and stop the Scottish secession movement, but the false flag operation went wrong.

Instead of hearing her out and listening to her reasoning, Trowbridge lost his mind and strangled Roylin. She falls to the ground and hits her head as the CIA agents who planned the operation rush in to pull Trowbridge off of her.

Thankfully, for the sake of the story, Trowbridge doesn’t kill Roylin. She’s injured badly, but she’s not dead. Not yet, anyway. She’s being treated for her wounds when the episode begins.

The Diplomat season 2 episode 4, “The Other Army,” opens the morning after the Fourth of July celebration. Stuart Heyford (Ato Essandoh), who left the party in a panic, returns to the office, and for the first time in The Diplomat season 2, it seems like he’s having a good time. That doesn’t last.

He’s immediately pulled into the office of Eidra Park (Ali Ahn) where he learns that Eidra ordered a CIA agent to get drunk with Stuart “and talk about America,” where he also revealed a lot unprofessional opinions about his job and Kate Wyler (Keri Russell). The woman was the one who the valet lost her keys during the party. It was all a setup for Stuart.

The Diplomat season 2 is getting so good! After two great episodes, the third episode might be the best of the season so far.

The Diplomat season 2 episode 3, “The Ides of March,” begins with a news report of Prime Minister Trowbridge (Rory Kinnear) announcing to the world that Roman Lenkov, who was responsible for the attack on the aircraft carrier, was killed by special forces. It was not a firefight, though. It was an assassination.

We immediately see Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) and CIA Station Chief Eidra Park (Ali Ahn) talking about the killing of Lenkov in front of Stuart. Margaret Roylin (Celia Imrie) told Kate and Eidra this would happen, and it did. Now, Stuart Heyford (Eto Assandoh) and Kate would like to turn her over to law enforcement after the main witness (Lenkov) was killed. Eidra won’t do it, though. She wants to learn more about what Roylin is hiding.

The Diplomat season 2 episode 2, “St. Paul’s,” begins with a funeral at St. Paul’s Cathedral for Merritt Grove’s funeral in London.

After calling Kate and the Americans at the end of episode 1, Margaret Roylin (Celia Imrie) is there with Eidra Park (Ali Ahn). She’s making an appearance in public for the first time since the bombing happened. As it appears, the CIA has made it look like many people look like Roylin in attendance to cause a distraction. We don’t know why exactly, but it’s to keep her away from Trowbridge’s men and the British government.

As we learn, they want people to stop looking for Roylin. She’s at the funeral, so she’s not missing, of course.

In exchange for protection, Eidra and Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) want information from Roylin. They want to know what she knows, and probably most importantly,...

The Diplomat season 2 begins immediately after the bombing at the end of the season 1 finale.

The opening scene of “When a Stranger Calls,” The Diplomat season 2 episode 1, reveals the aftermath of the bombing. Ronnie Buckhurst (Jess Chanliau), Stuart Hayford (Ato Essandoh), and Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell) were injured in the bombing, but we don’t know the extent of their injuries.

In Paris, Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) and Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison (David Gyasi) just realized that it seems like the Brits, possibly including Nicol Trowbridge (Rory Kinnear), are the ones responsible for the attack on the British ship before getting the call that there was a bombing in London involving Hal and Stuart.

From the first moments of the season, we know one person has died in the blast, but we don’t know if it’s Ronnie, Hal, or Stuart. We don’t have to wait long to find out.

Agatha Harkness, the coven-less witch, and Billy Maximoff, the son of the Scarlet Witch, reached the end of the Witches’ Road in the two-part finale of “Agatha All Along” — and very little was as it first seemed.

The episodes — titled “Follow Me My Friend / To Glory at the End” and “Maiden Mother Crone” — revealed the truth of how the Witches’ Road was created, who wrote the Ballad that conjured it into being and what really happened to Agatha’s son Nicholas Scratch. Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) helped Billy (Joe Locke) locate his twin brother Tommy, Jennifer (Sasheer Zamata) discovered how her power had been bound for 100 years and Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza), aka Lady Death, wound up collecting (nearly) all the bodies she wanted.

But almost none of it unfolded at face value.

To say that Marvel Television's Agatha All Along has been knocking it out of the park would be a huge understatement. The series premiered on Disney Plus in September and it has had the comic book and superhero worlds in the palm of its hands ever since, with its whimsical approach, comedic presentation, and light horror elements all making it the perfect spooky season treat.

But it's also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it has been delivering to such a level that it's one of the most worthy titles within the Multiverse Saga thus far, offering up unexpected twists, eyebrow-raising trials with life-or-death stakes, and reveals that - though some predicted - come about in the most unanticipated of ways.

“Agatha All Along” – which continued the story of Agatha Harkness and the town of Westview – ended with an origin story for its hit song “The Witches’ Road” and few answers.

The series saw Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) gather a coven of witches to help her walk The Witches’ Road so each of them could claim that which they were looking for. Agatha was unknowingly joined by Billy (Joe Locke) — Wanda and Vision’s son who survived the hex spell at the end of “WandaVision.”

Long story short, the adventure at the center of the nine-episode series turned out to Agatha’s ultimate con gone wrong, thanks to Billy’s inherited power.

Well, we made it; the Agatha All Along finale has arrived. It's been quite the journey over the course of these past seven weeks, walking the Witches' Road with the most dysfunctional coven TV may have ever seen, but the Disney Plus series has been nothing short of delightful from start through finish. A little terrifying here and there, but delightful nonetheless.

The events of the shocking eighth episode brought the main crux of the story to a close as Agatha Harkness and Rio Vidal, a.k.a. Death squared off. And with Agatha having fully obtained her powers again, it was quite a showdown to behold. However it resulted in some unexpected twists and turns that left fans feeling a certain kind of way. But what does it all mean for the future of the MCU?

Well that's what the season finale is for, as Agatha All Along showcases...

If you still haven’t heard the earworm that is the “Ballad of the Witches’ Road,” from Marvel’s Agatha All Along count yourself lucky, because it is catchy. There are even multiple versions of the song, an original masterpiece by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez with various lyrics, which are fun to decipher. For example, Lorna Wu’s version of the ballad contains different verses than the original one sung by Agatha’s ragtag coven. Japanese Breakfast even covered a new pop version of the ballad, produced by Jack Antonoff.

Florence + the Machine’s song “Seven Devils” was used in a teaser trailer for the show. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer even made a musical nod to Dolly Parton’s song “Jolene,” hinting that Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha was the inspiration for that song in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

All these small additions tend to be easter eggs that fans later meticulously rewind for and analyze trying to comprehend the foreshadowing they might entail. One of the most noticeable methods this is done through is outfit choices. And, the wardrobe in the new Marvel series “Agatha All Along” highlighted more than just figures.

The end of the witches’ road has seemingly come on “Agatha All Along” — unless the show gets a surprise second season renewal — with the finale hitting Disney+ on Wednesday night. And heading into it, there are a few big questions left.

First, let’s get caught up. At this point, only Agatha (Kathryn Hahn), Billy (Joe Locke) and Jen (Sasheer Zamata) are left in the coven, with the others dying in earlier episodes. Death herself is still on the table, too, as we officially found out last week that Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) is, in fact, Lady Death.

By our count, there are two trials left for the group to pass, assuming Rio does get her own. And if/when that happens, what comes next? We’ll certainly find out, but first, let’s run down the answers we definitely want to see in the episodes.

"Rio Vidal" (Aubrey Plaza) warned that all roads lead to her in last week's episode of Agatha All Along, and tonight's season finale will see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) face Death (literally) for what might well be the last time.

Harkness built a reputation for being an especially evil and ruthless witch over the years, but it seems at least some of her wicked deeds have either been exaggerated or outright lies.

In this new clip, Lady Death asks her former lover why she allows "them to believe those things about you? About Nicky?" We had been led to believe that Agatha sacrificed her own son, Nicholas Scratch, to Mephisto in order to acquire the Darkhold, but clearly there's a lot more to the story - though Harkness' response suggests that what really happened might be even worse.
