Nazanin Nooshin Nour was born in Arlington, VA to Iranian immigrant parents. She is fluent in Farsi, and can read and write in Farsi as well. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Government & International Politics, a double major in Communications, and a minor in Media Criticism. She worked in corporate litigation for a few years before leaving her career behind to pursue acting and writing professionally. She had performed in school plays, and local community theater, throughout her childhood, and eventually moved to New York City to pursue a career in entertainment. She got her start on USA's miniseries, Political Animals, and continued on from there to Los Angeles, where she has worked in television and film. She trained in sketch writing, and improv, at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theaters in both New York City and Los Angeles. She has also co-written, and co-starred in, the horror short, All Of You, as well as Bad Status, a comedy about being deported. She was also a judge on the inaugural season of Persia's Got Talent, the Persian language spin-off of the Got Talent franchise.
