Here’s the trailer for Kazuyoshi Hayashi’s upcoming indie horror film, Kishibe-chou Kidan: Tanbou-hen.
In 2010, Hayashi’s short film “Kishibe-cho Kidan Chapter 1: Fushigi Shojo” was included in an omnibus movie called Outsider-052 which was released locally in Nagoya. In 2011, he made the followup short film, “Chapter 2: Kaiki Tokubetsu Tantei”. A third short was planned to complete the story, but due to a change of the lead cast, the entire project was reworked as a feature film and renamed.
Plot: When a new student teacher named Tomoko Takayanagi (Ami Yokota) arrives at Kishibe High School, the students are captivated by her beauty. However, a two-man team of self-styled paranormal detectives suspect that there’s something strange about her. Who is Tomoko-sensei? A student named Miu Kuroe (Nako Mizusawa) begins an investigation that will reveal an unexpected truth about Tomoko-sensei’s past, leading to a series of bizarre phenomena in Kishibe.
