Jens-Florian Gross

Jens-Florian Groß was born in 1981. When he was a child his father owned a movie theater. In 2007 he started working in the games industry. As a producer at Ubisoft Blue Byte he was responsible for »The Settlers Online«. During his career in the games industry he also produced several TV ads. From 2012 till 2014 he studied production at the Hamburg Media School. Florian graduated with a MA in Film production in 2014. In 2013 he produced »Dogwalker« (German title: »Habib und der Hund«) a short film about an undocumented immigrant from North Africa. His graduation film »Burden's Weight« (German title: »Schuld um Schuld«) celebrated its premiere in the competition of the prestigious »Max-Ophüls Filmfestival«. It then won the »Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis«. In May 2015 Florian founded the production company NY Monkey together with producer Veronica Priefer. In 2018 he started to work as a producer for the animation film company WunderWerk, a subsidy ndF and Betafilm. In 2020 he transferred to ndF:Berlin to become the Story Producer for the TV-Series "Morden im Norden" (Murder in the North).
