Roy Stuart Winston was raised in New York City and attended Stuyvesant High School. He was an undergraduate at The University of Chicago and The University of Pennsylvania and received his MD degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NY City. Dr. Winston was a commissioned officer in The US Navy and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He also served on the Georgia State Board of Medical Examiners having been appointed by the Governor of GA. He has been on the faculty of Emory University and The University of California at Irvine and worked at some of the nations leading hospitals.
Roy founded the company LaserAway which is an aesthetic laser and injectable company based in Los Angeles with locations around the united states. He is also known for winning several major poker tournaments including a WPT Championship. He is respected world wide as one of the leading authorities on poker.
Roy's wife Heather passed away in 2016 from ALS and he now lives in Montclair, NJ with his son Luke and currently works as a consultant and practices medicine.
