Are we about to get the year's best (unofficial) video game adaptation? All the pressure is on "Alien: Romulus" director Fede Álvarez to deliver on his promise to bring the classic sci-fi/horror franchise back to its terrifying roots, and the early reactions would seem to confirm that he's managed to accomplish exactly that. In fact, it appears that this legacy sequel goes so far as to pay homage to everything that's come before, from Ridley Scott's original "Alien" to every subsequent film as well. But in a pleasant surprise, this apparently extends even to the expanded material for the series -- namely, "Alien: Isolation."
Rejoice, gamers. By the looks of it, all those countless hours you spent hiding while playing the classic survival game released back in 2014 is about to pay off in a big way. The game follows Amanda (voiced by Andrea Deck), the daughter of Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley,...

The idea that Showtime’s “Homeland” is drawing to an end after eight seasons hasn’t quite sunken in yet for executive producer Lesli Linka Glatter.
“It’s bittersweet,” she admits. “In any career, you only get a few of these where the material is incredible, challenging and provocative.”
But although she is already onto scouting locations for her next project, “The Banker’s Wife,” but she still took time out to reflect on the beginning of the end with Variety.
Last “Homeland” left Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) at the end of the penultimate season, she was in Russia. In the final season, she is finally free after being incarcerated and handed back to her mentor, fellow CIA agent and mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). But with the last seven months of her life blank in her memory, there is a question of whether or not she can be trusted. It...

This Sunday, the final season of “Homeland” will finally arrive. Stars Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, showrunner Alex Gansa, and a lucky hundred or so of the rest of us got to see it Tuesday at the world premiere, which was held at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
The after-party played out at the Lobster Club, a few long city blocks over. For a “Homeland” fan, the evening was about as good as Tuesdays get. For so many former “Homeland” stars, it was a homecoming.
Below are a few of our non-spoilery takeaways from the nice-enough February night in Manhattan.

Hey MoMA? Yeah, Couple of Notes
It’s very expensive to park by you. Honestly, that’s on us though. You seem to have a ton of different entrances on 53rd St.

Oh, and this true tale from nearly 42 years ago has been dramatized multiple times. It all really depends on this film maker’s take, their perspective. Big battles of WWII have been the source of several films. Just last year the story of Dunkirk was the backdrop for three films: the propaganda romance Their Finest, the acclaimed Churchill profile The Darkest Hour and Christopher Nolan’s same titled multi-story thriller. Now, returning to theatres is the tale of a hijacked airliner and the secret rescue of its passengers back in 1976. Shortly after the incident, the broadcast networks rushed out two dramatizations (later released theatrically overseas), “Raid on Entebbe” and “Victory at Entebbe” were multi-starred TV events that echoed the...
