Joanne Harris majored in Communications and Journalism, working for national and global corporations before starting her own publicity firm, Harris PR & Marketing LLC.
She booked her first film acting role in 2006, and began writing feature film scripts. She enrolled at several acting studios, and studied screenwriting and filmmaking. She completed the prestigious Act One screenwriting program in Los Angeles in 2007.
Her first writer/producer/director historical documentary short film in Germany in 2010, "A Mass of Wine," sold in four continents.
She studied feature film production at UCLA and at the Burt Reynolds Institute of Film and Television, where she also studied acting.
She wrote award-winning scripts for video production clients, as well as wrote and produced corporate videos for her own clients. She has produced, directed, post supervised and scripted numerous corporate videos and commercials.
Joanne was hired to scribe the feature, "Unintended," an action / thriller, in 2019.
She continues to work as a writer, actress, and on locations crew for film, television and commercials. Most recently, Joanne worked on "Callback," Me Time, Beef, American Auto, Season 2 and Lincoln Lawyer, Season 2.
Her acting credits include "DeFeated," "The Legend of Kate Kensington," "Ballers," "All That You Can't Leave Behind," and "Slaphappia."
She speaks German and some Spanish.
