Originally from Washington, D.C., comedian, actress, radio host and writer Courtney Black shares her witty views on life, love, adapting to the carefree ways of living in Los Angeles, C.A. and the world at hand. Courtney holds two Bachelor of Science degrees and used to do cancer research - now, she heals people with laughter. Courtney taped her 1st comedy special Summer 2023, and she can't wait for the world to see it.
Courtney has a total of 9 years in radio. Most recently, she was a co-host on "Sheryl Underwood Radio" (SUR) for 5 years & 1st chair in the year leading up to the show's end. SUR aired Monday through Friday, in almost 600 national & international markets covering politics, entertainment, & sports. Courtney's own segments, "Courtney Black with the Facts" & "Courtney Black's Black History Facts" were fan and affiliate favorites.
Courtney has toured with veteran comedian & her radio boss Sheryl Underwood from CBS' "The Talk", as well as Guy Torry, opened for Martin Lawrence and worked with many other comedians. She has performed on stages across the United States, and internationally in Dublin, London, Paris, and Africa.
Courtney has several projects in the works including the biographical script of a Black female trailblazer from the 1930's that she was hired to write. She has written and produced several scripts for Radio Theater airing on Sheryl Underwood Radio, written various treatments, sketches, and of course, her own stand-up comedy.
Courtney admits to being perfectly imperfect! She is currently single and hopes to marry the soulmate who will become her infamous baby daddy.
