Tom Margiotta
- Actor
- Additional Crew
Tom Margiotta (aka Tommy Dean) is a Connecticut based actor on the
rise. His acting career was jump started by pursuing an unlikely
opportunity in 2007 when he showed up on the New Haven Connecticut set
of Indian Jones 4... hoping to get a spot as an extra among thousands
of other eager hopefuls. Amazingly, he was not only one of a handful of
people picked to become part of the production, he was asked to become
Harrison Ford's stand in for the entire film shooting period in New
Haven. Almost immediately, he found himself discussing upcoming scenes
with Harrison Ford and taking direction from Steven Spielberg. As he
met other members of the crew and cast such as Shia LeBeouf, his new
and exciting experience becoming a part of the movie making process
created both a passion and drive within Tom to pursue a career in the
film industry as an actor.
With his SAG card earned on his very first foray into the film industry, Tom has now been part of over 20 major film productions over the past few years including Duplicity, Salt, The Taking of Pelham 123 and most recently the upcoming Men in Black III. His television credits include multiple appearances on Law and Order, a core member of the first season Fringe cast and a recurring role on HBO's Boardwalk Empire.
Tom continues to pursue new opportunities as well as ongoing training to take his career to the next level. His unconventional entry into the industry was something of a fluke, but his abilities and acting skills are anything but. Look to see Tom playing increasingly significant acting roles on both the big screen and on television in the coming year.
