No Secrets was a teen pop girl group from the 2000s that consisted of Angel Faith (born Angel Marie Faith on January 8, 1988 in Los Angeles, California), Carly Lewis (born Carly Sarah Lewis on July 26, 1985 in London, England), Erin Tanner (born Erin Elizabeth Kaulani Tanner on November 5, 1985 in Burbank, California), Jade Ryusaki (born Jade Alexis Kapololu Ryusaki on January 5, 1988 in Los Angeles, California) and Jessica Fried (born Jessica Allison Megan Fried on July 25, 1986 in Glendale, California). The group was formed by Carly's stepfather Adrian Gurvitz (who is a singer, songwriter & music producer). Carly was the first member of the group and then her cousins Jade & Erin joined as well. Angel was discovered in an advertisement for a singing group & brought Jessica with her.
Once the line-up was completed, the group began recording songs for their debut album. In 2001, they appeared in Aaron Carter's music video for his song "Oh Aaron." They were also featured on Aaron Carter's third album on the track "Stride (Jump On the Fizzy)" and toured with him for four months as well. They also appeared on the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon animated film "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" singing a cover version of "Kids in America."
In 2002, No Secrets released their first VHS\DVD called "No Secrets: Get to Know Us." During that same year, they released their debut single "That's What Girls Do." It's unknown how or if the single made the charts at all. They also appeared on the soundtracks to "The Powerpuff Girls," "The Hot Chick" and "Stuart Little 2." In August of 2002, they released their self-titled debut album which peaked at #136 on the Billboard 200 and topped Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. In early 2003, No Secrets appeared on the "DisneyMania" and "DisneyMania 2" albums.
During that same year, they recorded a cover version of Atomic Kitten's song "Whole Again," only Angel was not featured on the song. Angel later left No Secrets to pursue a solo career and in 2004, she released her debut album "Believe in Angels... Believe in Me" just as No Secrets was putting the final touches on their sophomore album.
The remaining members of No Secrets recorded & shot a music video for the song "Once Upon (Another) Dream" for the 2003 re-release of the Disney film "Sleeping Beauty." After that, not much was heard from No Secrets and their sophomore album appeared to have been shelved. The group were planning on starring in a movie called "Summer Stage" (which would've featured Aaron Carter, Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff), but due to various disagreements, the film's production was halted and No Secrets disbanded in 2005.
In a 2007 interview, Jessica Fried stated that the girls got along well, but the reason for the group's break-up was caused by the greedy actions of one member's parent. These days, Jessica Fried (now Jessi Malay) and Erin Tanner (now Nicki Foxx) are solo artists. Jade Ryusaki resides in Honolulu, Hawaii & she has worked as a stunt woman. Carly Lewis has appeared to left the music scene, but it's unknown what she is up to these days. Angel Faith continued to perform as a solo artist, but in 2007, she announced that she was retiring from the music business & she later attended UCLA to study veterinary science.
