With a background in Fine Art Hatti has worked professionally in camera
departments for the last 13 years; she brings with her an artists
sensibility and sensitivity, grounded in a strong technical training
and a wealth of experience. Before setting out as a Director of
Photography, Hatti had an established and multifaceted career. She worked her way up from the
camera floor of a rental house to a freelance camera assistant working
on TV drama, feature films, commercials and music videos working with
many of the finest cameraman and crew in the UK. She is also a trained
Steadicam operator, (trained with Steve TJ McGuire SOC, ACO) and went on to shoot Steadicam for documentaries all over
Europe. Due to her understanding of digital formats, she worked as an onset digital imaging technician. Films
include: Gravity (Emmanuel Lubezki AMC, ASC) and RUSH (Anthony Dod
Mantle BSC, ASC) and the opening of the 2012 London Olympics
(helicopter sequence and Buckingham Palace). Past commercials include
Chanel No.5, with Director Joe Wright and Director of Photography
Seamus McGarvey BSC ASC working with live onset color correction
(ARRIRAW/Truelight).
Hatti studied Fine Art at Glasgow school of Art, and Cinematography at The University For the Creative Arts before attending The American Film Institute, Cinematography MFA program in Los Angeles.
