Jamie Trent is an ACS award-winning Cinematographer, born in Sydney, Australia. With dual American/Australian Citizenship.
Jamie is living in south East Asia, producing documentary films.
He's a member of the ACS (Australian Cinematographers Society) and was a Local 600 Cinematographer until the "Me Too" movement ruined the film industry.
It forced producers to hire based on everything excluding the actual ability for a person to do a specific job.
He's spent the last decade working in both Los Angeles and New York City as a Director and Cinematographer for commercials and TV. In 2020, Jamie won a Silver ACS award for a "Big Brother" TV segment "The Revengers" as Director/ Cinematographer and in 2018 it was a Gold ACS award for the film "Fallen Angel". His experience ranges from theatrical released feature films, TV, fashion films, documentaries and commercial work. Jamie brings over 15 years of experience as a DI Colorist and was accredited with CSI in 2019. He was previously a member of the PGA & executive produced many films as well color grading for platforms and distributors such as Netflix, LionsGate, CBS and Amazon. As one of Los Angeles emerging new film makers he's bringing a new level of skill and creative awareness into the business of producing films.
