The Horror Legacy of Wes Craven Exhibit Details: “Wes Craven has been feeding our collective horror consciousness since 1972, when his first feature, “The Last House on the Left,” debuted. In the fall of last year we ventured into the mountains just outside of Big Bear, California, to the set of then-filming feature Axeman at Cutter’s Creek and while there chatted with many of the flick’s principal players.

Kicking things off in our set visit coverage is an interview with actress Elissa Dowling.

Disciples director Joe Hollow tipped us off to his latest horror feature, A Blood Story, which is slated to go before cameras in January of 2013 in Florida. Read on for word!

Written, executive produced (with Debra Lamb) and to be directed by Hollow (with cinematography by Wolfgang Meyer), the filmmaker says of A Blood Story, “It’s a dark and twisted, blood-drenched love story of sorts that starts with three strangers who meet on their journey to find the truth of an age-old legend, the Fountain of Youth, but they uncover much more. It’s been a while since we updated you on Joe Hollow’s upcoming horror flick Disciples, but that changes as of right now. Read on for an exclusive with the filmmaker, ‘first look’ stills and word on the production’s convention booth this weekend at Monsterpalooza.

The first thought that came to mind upon arriving to director Buddy Giovinazzo’s then-shooting supernatural horror flick Ginger on Sunday, December 18 of 2011 was, “This looks like some place Charles Manson would have frequented back in the Sixties.” As I was to find, I was correct in that assumption, and as it turned out, Giovinazzo himself, too, was working hard to add yet another creepy chapter to the location’s storied past alongside Ginger stars Marc Senter and Elissa Dowling.

Arriving to set, the sprawling property along Big Tujunga Road for the most part was scattered haphazardly with ramshackle buildings roofed in sheet-metal, a rather stagnant pool, and abandoned machinery and horse stables, although as the wind whispered through the mature eucalyptus trees, so did an almost tangible feeling of rock 'n roll history. Those who’ve ever spent any time in the homes which dot Laurel Canyon know the feeling,...

Just hitting our desks today is a little indie flick that's packing quite a punch casting-wise, and if you're into diggin' on a veritable who's who of horror ensemble, look no further than Joe Hollow's Disciples.

Not much is known about the flick at this time; however, the logline reads as follows: It has been written that an angel would be risen to usurp the emperor Lucifer. If this angel were to be given life, Lucifer would no longer be what God now fears.

Okay, a demon scarier than big red? Color us intrigued. We'll dig up more on this one as soon as we can.

Brian  S- First off, tell me about Mediatrix.

Cory Udler- Nobody's going to believe me, but it's based on a true story.  Our story is about Mary Ann Van Hook, born into a world of false spiritualism, opiated by her mother. She basically parlays her manipulation skills into power over people, inevitably over someone who has done her wrong in the past.  But she not only ruins things for that person along the way, she leaves a trail of broken bodies and bruised souls as well.

Over night co-director Joe Hollow unleashed the new official trailer for the upcoming indie horror/slasher simply entitled Cut via Facebook and the official Cut website and today we have it for y'all to check out. Rachel Grubb is not only a strikingly beautiful  actress and scream queen but she has the business sense to go along with it that makes her the total package (if you ask me). Rachel Grubb- It started as something I was doing for fun.  I was taking several different classes at the time, and I was having some harmless fun.  I got some very positive feedback from my teachers, so I decided to start auditioning for some local films.

              

This is the newest poster art for 'Song of the Shattered' which we've been following even before the cameras started rolling and we are finally getting close to the film's debut at Sac Horror Con next weekend.

This very controversial psycho-horror film is directed by Wolfgang Meyer and stars Devanny Pinn, Brandon Slagle, Tara Cardinal, Deneen Melody, Joe Hollow and Jess Weber. The controversial "bat-rape" scene should be enough to build up your curiosity and seek out this film!

Wolfpak Industry Productions (producers behind the recently wrapped "15 Till Midnight") and Death Factory are pleased to announce their sure to be controversial new film "Song Of The Shattered". Tara Cardinal is a go-to-girl when it comes to indie horror and the underground film scene. She acts, writes, produces and she's even directed some. The girl can do it all and at such a young age she's already made a name for herself. She also models for cool outfits like Comic Book Divas and even throws people around in the wrestling ring, all I can say is I want to be pinned in the squared circle by Ms. Cardinal! Joe Hollow hasn't been in the indie film industry too long but he has already made a name for himself and shows no sign of slowing down. This movie is getting a lot of buzz and each shred of "Shattered" news I come across I'll let you in on it.  This is going to be a good one peeps!

Super-indie producer Joe Hollow shared the new teaser trailer for episode one 'Bloodstruck' of his upcoming Diary of Death series via his Facebook page today. Bloodstruck will be the first film in Hollow's  Diary of Death series.  Diary of Death  is a who's who as far as underground indie  horror goes consisting of names like Chris Burchette, Devanny Pinn, Cleve Hall, Deneen Melody, Rachel Grubb, Lloyd Kaufman, Christian Boeving, Joe Hollow himself and many other familiar faces.

Hollow says they are moving into pre-production for the final shoot to complete the film. We'll have more news on this cool underground  horror project as we get it!  This is where the true heart and passion in the horror business lives and I love it!

We've posted the new Red Band teaser Trailer for the upcoming psycho-horror film Song of the Shattered and today we have the first images from the film and some are a little graphic, there's your warning!

The film tackles a multitude of socially-relevant issues, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, rape, and other potentially controversial topics and places them all under the guise of what is being dubbed a "psychothriller".  Much of the film is inspired by true events that an anonymous member of the production team witnessed as a child.

I'm really looking forward to this film! This one will most certainly find it's audience with people who can relate and sympathize with what all happens here in this story.
