Azzurra Primavera
- Camera and Electrical Department
Azzurra Primavera was born in Rome and she is a portrait photographer. After graduating from classical high school she decides to follow her natural instinct to photograph. The portrait is the photographic expression that most fascinates her.
Her first professional experiences begin in the nineties and lead her to the theater to portray the actors in the dressing rooms. Many are the characters photographed: Gabriele Lavia, Giorgio Albertazzi, Anna Proclemer, Carlo Giuffrè, Gigi Proietti, Ernesto Calindri, Nino Manfredi, Piera Degli Esposti and many others.
The assiduous attendance of the theater circles and her natural ability to maintain cordial professional relationships made her in a short time highly sought after by young actors to create their portfolio and by all cinema and theater agents and producers. The latter very often ask her to study/reinvent the image of many protagonists of cinema and entertainment.
She collaborated for 7 years with the "Civitella Ranieri Foundation" in New York portraying numerous artists: not only actors, but also sculptors, painters and composers from all over the world during the artistic residencies.
In 2009 she took all the photos for the book published by Sophie Charlotte Gachet: "My dad is a true Chef", dedicated to some of the most important starred international chefs photographed together with their children.
She also works as a still photographer for cinema/TV and theatre, creates cutlery for the press and for posters. She collaborates with the major Italian film productions, such as: Rai Fiction, Pepito, Publispei and Fremantle Media, Luxvide, Lucky Red, Amazon.
Alongside the biggest names in photography such as Giovanni Gastel, Alberto Roveri and Adriano Brusaferri and Chiara Spat, Azzurra Primavera was a member of the jury of the Canon "Power to your Next Step Award 2013".
Freelance, she collaborates with the main national and international newspapers.
She is a member of Association of Women Photographers, Association of Professional Italian Photographers and Association of Scene Photographers.
She loves Pop Art and is crazy about New York.
