Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Adriana Martínez Barrón is currently Head of Film and TV for Stacey Abrams' Sage Works Production. Previously she was Vice President of Drama Series Development at CBS Entertainment where she's worked on the development of 2023's "Tracker" (20thTV, series order), "Matlock" (CBSTVS, series order), "Elsbeth" (CBSTVS, series order) and 2022's "Fire Country" (CBSTVS, series order), "East New York" (WBTV, series order), "So Help Me Todd" (CBSTVS, series order), "Early Edition" (CBSTVS & Sony, pilot order).
Previously Martínez Barrón served as Vice President of Film at Eva Longoria's UnbeliEVAble Entertainment where she Executive Produced the film "Let's Get Merried" starring Mishel Prada, Xosha Roquemore and Tahj Mowry for ViacomCBS and VH1. Following Longoria's mandate of championing Latinx filmmakers, Martínez Barrón was pivotal in hiring first time Latina director Veronica Rodriguez who has been nominated for an NAACP award for her work in the film.
Prior to that she was a Manager, Content Acquisition and a Manager, Original Series at Netflix focusing on content for Spain and Latin America. She has been the creative executive behind the Feature Films "A Quién Te Llevarías a una Isla Desierta", "A Pesar de Todo", "Elisa y Marcela", "Diecisiete", "Parchís", "Hogar", "El Practicante", "Loco por Ella", "Xtremo" for Spain; "Como Caído del Cielo", "Se Busca Papá", "Ahí te Encargo", "Fondeados", "Una Navidad No Tan Padre" for Mexico; "La Corazonada", "El Cuaderno de Tomy" in Argentina; and TV series "Nicky Jam" and "Distrito Salvaje" season 2 for Colombia; "Apache: la vida de Carlos Tevez", "No Hay Tiempo para la Vergüenza" "Casi Feliz" for Argentina; "Las Crónicas del Taco" seasons 1 and 2, "El Club" "Desenfrenadas", "Madre Solo Hay Dos", "Todo Va a Estar Bien", "Guerra de Vecinos", "Dale Gas", "Luis Miguel" season 2 for Mexico; "Paquita Salas" season 3 for Spain.
Prior to that she worked as Creative Executive at Eugenio Derbez's production company 3Pas Studios where she oversaw the first season of "LOL: Laugh Out Loud Mexico" for Amazon and the feature "Como es Él" for Pantelion. She began her career in the US as a Development assistant for Sofia Vergara's Latin WE and was the assistant to Co-Producer's for ABC's "Killer Women". She's a graduate of the Peter Stark MFA program at USC.
