Maxwell Sterling is a composer for film, television, dance and multi-media. Originally from Manchester, he graduated from Leeds College of Music and moved to Los Angeles to study at UCLA. During his 5 years time in LA, Maxwell has worked on numerous projects and noticeably scored films such as 'A Girl Like Grace', 'Investigation 13' and 'Chicanery'. His musical style ranges from improvised jazz to classical, left-field electronic to minimal, always taking lead from the narrative.
Maxwell has now returned to the UK and lives in London, working on the follow up of his record 'Hollywood Medieval' and giving performances based on improvisation at Cafe Oto, The Design Museum & more.
More recently Maxwell has scored Greg Wohead's theatre work 'Call It A Day' short documentary 'Cablestreet' which premiered at this year Sundance Festival and has been doing sessions with a wide range of exciting artists.
