Disney Branded Television and Disney+ Hotstar released the teaser for the Disney+ Original series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’, revealing that the Wildcats will take their final bow this summer. From Disney Branded Television, the Emmy-nominated television series was inspired by the hugely popular ‘High School Musical‘ movies, which first aired on Disney Channel in 2006 and 2007, and theatrically in 2008.

Earlier today, series creator and executive producer Tim Federle (a DGA and Emmy nominee for “Better Nate Than Ever”) – who will continue a multi-year overall deal with Disney Branded Television said in a social post, “After four years at East High, it’s time to graduate. This will be our final, endgame season.”

Disney+’s teaser trailer for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series confirms that the upcoming fourth season will be the show’s final season. Season four will drop all eight episodes on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

The final season brings back High School Musical stars Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed, and Kaycee Stroh as themselves. Plus, the show will wrap up with a major meta twist that finds East High hosting High School Musical 4: The Reunion.

The fourth season of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” will be its last. All episodes in the eight-episode installment will premiere on Disney+ on Aug. 9.

“After four years at East High, it’s time to graduate. This will be our final, endgame season,” series creator and executive producer Tim Federle wrote on Instagram. “This show brought the most extraordinary cast — and crew, and collaborators — to my life. To the fans, who embraced our super-meta series: We ‘don’t not love you.’ We can’t wait to share this epic fourth act with you all.”

Federle, who also directed the 2022 film “Better Nate Than Ever,” based on his novel of the same name, will continue his multi-year overall deal with Disney Branded Television.

“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” is coming to a close. The teen musical comedy’s upcoming fourth season will be its last on Disney+.

The met series is set at the high school where the original “High School Musical” movies were filmed and centers on a group of teenage musical theater lovers who decide to mount a production of “High School Musical.”

In Season 4, which premieres on Aug. 9, the Wildcats return to East High after an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake and prepare a stage production of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school.

The series will end with its fourth season, Disney+ and showrunner Tim Federle announced Wednesday. Season four is set to premiere on Aug. 9 with a binge release of all eight episodes. The series also released a trailer for the final season.

“This series was always about found family, and about making something you love with people you love. In other words, it was a tribute to theater kids,” Federle said in a statement. “I can’t wait for our dedicated fan base to watch this world-class cast take a final bow.”

The theater kids of East High are in rehearsal for Season 4. Disney+ has renewed “High School Musical: The Musical: the Series” for a fourth outing, ahead of the Season 3 premiere.

In addition to announcing a fourth season, Disney also announced that Season 3 of the musical series will premiere on the streamer July 27. A first look clip from the season has also been released, showing Corbin Bleu, an original cast member from the “High School Musical” film trilogy, appearing as himself in a guest role. Ahead of its Season 3 premiere, Disney+ has ordered a fourth season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The eight-episode third season will premiere on July 27, with each episode streaming weekly on Wednesdays, exclusively on Disney+. The streamer also released a first-look clip of Season 3 (see above).

Created and executive-produced by Tim Federle, Season 3 is set at Camp Shallow Lake, a sleepaway camp in California, as the Wildcats and their fellow campers are primed for an unforgettable summer ripe with romance, curfew-less nights and a taste of the great outdoors. With a high-stakes production of Frozen on the horizon and a drama-filled “docu-series” of the production in the works, the Wildcats will attempt to show who is “best in snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold.

It stars Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Saylor Bell Curda and Adrian Lyles.

Disney+ is keeping the curtain raised at East High, renewing High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for Season 3, TVLine has learned. But not without a few key twists!

For starters, production is relocating from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles in order to accomodate the summer-themed season, which will “follow the Wildcats as they leave the hallways of East High for the ultimate summer at sleepaway camp, complete with campfires, summer romances and curfew-less nights.”

The 45-minute special — titled “High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special” will see the cast of the Disney+ original series perform their favorite Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s songs and share their fondest holiday memories. It will also feature a “sneak peek performance” from the show’s upcoming second season.

The new horror comedy movie Porno pits movie theater employees against a succubus, so naturally it would be fitting to watch the new film as a midnight movie at your local cinema. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic is preventing public screenings right now, but that's not stopping Fangoria from supporting theaters with a special virtual cinema release of Porno.

Reported by Deadline and shared by Fangoria on their official Twitter account, the virtual cinema release of Porno will begin at 12:00am on Friday, April 10th and run through May 1st, ahead of the film's VOD release on May 8th (it will also eventually be released on Shudder).

According to Deadline, during the early virtual release window, "Tickets are $12 a piece and will last for 48 hours after purchase..." The Porno tickets will be available through Vimeo, and virtual attendees can select one of several theaters to support with their ticket purchase.

Banks, the first African-American actor to portray Evan Hansen, will play Howie, a “hyper-smart, adorkable high school junior who works at Big Red’s family’s pizza shop. And here’s a fun little fact: The character of Howie was named after playwright and lyricist Howard Ashman, whose many collaborations include Beauty and the Beast, the musical being performed in Season 2 of HSM:Tm:Ts.

Following its memorable run on the festival circuit, Keola Racela's horror comedy Porno was acquired for worldwide distribution by Fangoria, and ahead of the film's April release, the trailer has now been revealed, in which movie theater employees are pitted against a sex demon from the silver screen.

Directed by Keola Racela from a screenplay by Matt Black and Laurence Vannicelli, Porno stars Evan Daves, Larry Saperstein, Jillian Mueller, Glenn Stott, Robbie Tann, Peter Reznikoff, Bill Phillips, and Katelyn Pearce.
