Exclusive: Iron Man and Children of Men writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby are scripting Shadow Tiger, a film adaptation of Sharad Devarajan’s comic book.
This marks the first time the Academy Award-nominated pair has returned to the superhero genre since penning Iron Man, which laid the foundations for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They also are known for an Oscar nomination for work on Alfonso Cuarón on 2006 dystopian thriller Children of Men and have more recently created sci-fi series The Expanse. In March 2022, we revealed they were writing and exec producing a God of War adaptation for Prime Video.

The Blue Rose trailer: surreal noir starring Olivia Scott Welch gets July theatrical and VOD release
Three years have gone by since we heard that Olivia Scott Welch of Shudder’s The Sacrifice Game and Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy would be starring in writer/director George Baron’s feature debut The Blue Rose, which is described as a surreal, genre-bending noir film… and now we finally know when we’re going to have a chance to see The Blue Rose. Dark Sky Films has announced that they will be giving the film a digital/VOD and limited theatrical release on July 12th! ReFrame, the Sundance Institute and Women In Film partnership to advance gender equity in the screen industries, announced in Cannes on Friday it is expanding its programme recognising gender-balanced hiring on features into Canada, the UK, Ireland, India, and Australia.
The ReFrame Stamp verifies feature productions that hire women or individuals from minority gender communities including trans, nonbinary, or gender-nonconforming individuals in at least 50% of key roles, above and below the line.

Writer Neil Gaiman is enjoying some success with his TV adaptations Lucifer, The Sandman, Good Omens and Dead Boy Detectives. Deadline has now reported that the famed graphic novel writer will be teaming up with Graphic India for an animated adaptation of his short story, Cinnamon. The screenplay is set to be adapted by Coraline author and leading Indian animation writer and creator Sharad Devarajan (The Legend of Hanuman; Baahubali: The Lost Legends) along with Sarena Khan and Sujatha Sv.
