Alexander Seteykin

Alexander Seteykin is a Russian actor best known for his role in «Major Grom: Plague Doctor» (2021) - first Russian movie based on the Russian comic book series. In 2021 «Major Grom» was bought by Netflix.
Alexander was born in Bulgaria in 1996. At the age of 5 he has moved to Moscow and later entered the theatre studio at the Nazarov Theatre. During his classes he participated in several plays and learned to play the trumpet and jazz piano parts. In 2013 Alexander was admitted to the troupe of the Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT). In RAMT he played Herzen's son in «The Coast of Utopia», written and directed by Tom Stoppard. From his early years Alexander has fallen in love with cinema. At the age of 14 he has passed his first audition.
After school he entered The Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute for the acting department and graduated in 2017.
Among his best roles are: Efimov in «The Frontier» (Rus: «Rubezh») - military film which was bought by Netflix in 2020; Badarin's son in «Cathedral» (Rus: «Sobor») - historical series directed by Alexander Ginzburg; Boris Volokhov in «The Winners»; Anton in «Insomnia».
Alexander plays piano, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, harmonica; writes music and makes video editing.
