Andy Gala aka Narendra Gala is an American Actor. He has appeared in
the Freeform Christmas Movie "The Mistle-Tones" as Ajay. He has
also appeared on NBC's Outsourced and the Lifetime Movie "Carriers".
Gala made his professional stage debut in "Haram Iran" at The
Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles, directed by Michael Matthews. Gala
holds an M.F.A. in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and a
B.S in Zoology/Pre-medicine from Kent State University
Narendra "Andy" Gala was born in Los Angeles California. At age 10 Gala moved to Pittsburgh PA, later to Wheeling WV and attended middle school and high school in New Albany, Ohio (a suburb of Columbus)
Gala graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in Zoology and pre-medicine. At Kent State Gala served as a student senator and implemented a "Late Night Bus Service" which provided transportation from local bars to student housing developments to reduce drunk driving. Gala was also a founding member of the KSU Men's chorus and served as President. During his last semester before entering medical school, Gala auditioned for the play "Proof" by David Auburn and was cast in a lead role. He then decided not to attend medical school and pursue acting as a profession.
Upon Graduation from Kent State Gala moved to Los Angeles. Initially, he found work in many game shows and dating shows. Appearing on dating shows such as "MTV's Next and SiTV's Dating Factory as well as game shows "GSN's Lingo", "NBC's 1 vs. 100" and "FOX's Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" where he won $25,000. He also appeared as an actor in Court TV's North Mission Road and various Independent Films.
California Institute of the Arts, Gala auditioned and was accepted out of 1200 actors as well as earning a scholarship to study at California Institute of the Arts M.F.A. Acting program. While still a student at California Institute of the Arts Gala made his Professional Stage debut as the lead in The Celebration Theatre's "Haram Iran" directed my Michael Matthews in 2010, which was nominated for a GLAAD award for outstanding Los Angels Theatre. Gala also made his Network Primetime Television debut guest starring on NBC's Outsourced. At Cal Arts Gala also served as a Resident Advisor and participated in the Cal Arts Community Arts Partnership, a mentorship program to bring arts and education to at-risk youth in the greater Los Angeles area.
Post graduation, Gala landed a role in Freeform Christmas Movie "The Mistle-Tones" starring opposite Tia Mowry and Tori Spelling as Ajay. He also landed a role on the Lifetime Movie "Carriers" starring opposite Cameron Mathison, Gala also participated in the ABC/Disney Talent and Development Actors showcase.
