- A graduate of Winthrop College, Rock Hill, SC, I have a BA degree in Advertising /Journalism emphasis on writing. I worked in all facets of Advertising in Columbia, South Carolina for over 20 years. That includes Advertising Agencies, Newspaper, Radio and TV. I was on the Columbia Advertising Clubs Board of Directors and headed two fund raising events for them. In the ad agencies for whom I worked, I was Media Buyer for one then became Media Director for another; I directed events for my Account Executives in which we had RV/Boat shows, etc. At the first two Ad Agencies I worked, I was also their bookkeeper. I did talent work and used my theatrical abilities for commercials. My stage work includes being 'Snoopy' in 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' and 'Elaine' in 'Arsenic and Old Lace'.
At Winthrop College, I was a member of 'Senior Order', the top 15 seniors on campus voted on by their peers. There were over 300 graduates in my class. My junior year, I was on the 'Senior Ring Committee' that was comprised of ten people who ensured the graduates who purchased their ring received them. I was Campus Hostess Leader and organized other students to lead groups of prospective students. I was a reporter for the Rock Hill Evening Herald and Johnsonian newspapers part-time. In my sophomore year, I was a member of the Student Government Association and a dorm House Councillor.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Janet Thompson Deaver
