Meadowlark, the John Skipper- and Dan Le Batard-led outfit where Torre moved after ESPN (following the trajectories of former colleagues Skipper and Le Batard) is also seeing returns on its investment in the host. Podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out has notched double-digit increases in YouTube views each month since its September 2023 launch and has also just scored an Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Reporting.

Robert Iler, known best for playing angsty mob son Anthony Soprano Jr. on HBO’s crime dramedy The Sopranos, has officially gone on the record with the truth: He’s been Italianfishing us all along.
Iler told comedian and actor Dan Soder (Billions) on the latest episode of his eponymous podcast that — gasp! — he isn’t an Italian-American like his character, he’s actually an Irish-American. And while there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, he claims that he has left fans flabbergasted by that fact.
“I’ve seen people’s heart break when they found out that I wasn’t Italian,” Iler told Soder. “I’ve seen people who are like, full Jersey’d out, and they’re like, ‘Bro! Me and my family would get together, we’d make gabagool, we’d all sit around the TV and watch you guys. And then somebody else would be like,...

Chad Daniels, whose comedy special Empty Nester recently dropped on Netflix, names some usual suspects among his influences, including Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. But in an interview this week with radio station i95 in Brookfield, Connecticut, Daniels raved about another favorite, the late Mitch Hedberg.
“I think one-liners are funny,” Daniels said. “One of the funniest people that has ever lived is Mitch Hedberg. He was just one brilliant one-liner after another. But I think to really deep-dive a story, you feel that human connection. That’s pretty cool.”
The i95 disc jockeys were right there with Daniels, citing Hedberg’s pancake joke as a personal favorite.
Play
Daniels then revealed that he used to open for Hedberg on the road. In fact, Daniels is the unnamed friend in this Hedberg classic about mashed potatoes:
Hedberg’s joke: “My friend came up to me. He said, ‘Hey, you know what I like?...

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is just around the corner, with more content being added to the game. Players aren’t really asking for additional content, but they might be interested in one of the elements coming along with the BlackCell pass. The new operator has something that’ll catch his enemies off guard.
This version of Battle Pass was first introduced in Modern Warfare II and became instantly popular, despite many players flying off the handle concerning the current state of the game. The ones purchasing it will instantly unlock the BlackCell sector, along with some tier skips to make it easy for players.
This Call of Duty Season, Players Shouldn’t Believe What They See Players can get a 20-tier skip from the BlackCell Bp.
Players will be taking bullets for their comrades in Season 4, but they’ll also be taking the bullets from them.

No matter how fun gaming may be, there is always something that can ruin the experience. Recently this was the case with Overwatch 2, an online Fps game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The matter involves a reported use of abusive language by an Esports player.
Though it is normal for the players to get carried away leading to a slip of the tongue, it isn’t always acceptable. Esports companies keep a close eye on chats and may ban anyone found practicing abusive behavior. As far as the matter at hand is concerned, this ban does seem somewhat excessive.

Call of Duty has been in a weird place lately, with their live service multiplayer title Warzone being plagued with constant bugs and glitches as well as cheaters and being ridiculed by the online community given the short length of the Modern Warfare 3 campaign, it seems like Activision is finally getting the job done with recent posts for upcoming content.
Fans always had low expectations for Activision but recent announcements for bundles have piqued the interests of their community. Perhaps the developers finally gained the momentum to put out content that fans have been waiting for. Although it may solely focus on cosmetic items like skins, it is still a good indication that the developers are seriously working on improving Call of Duty.

Call of Duty has been a staple in the gaming industry for its first-person combat and is a technical leap from previous entries of the franchise, but not by much as seen in the latest Call of Duty: Warzone patch. The newest patch breaks more than it fixes and fans are already upset and want it to stop immediately.
Constant updating is a necessity for a live service game, it is not something that developers can yearly reproduce due to the cost. Infinity Ward managed to develop Warzone 2.0, a sequel to the first Warzone title but fans are slamming it for being a much worse version than the original. Call of Duty has been around for decades but so are its technical issues that are holding it back.

Cheaters in Call of Duty need a double-check from developers. Despite many attempts to ward off the evil in the game, appears like no trick is working out against malevolent players. Another instance has surfaced on the internet where one hacker ruined the game entirely. Interestingly, that malicious user didn’t even use a gun to wreak havoc in a cross-play-off lobby.
An anti-cheat system dubbed Ricochet is been in place for months now, however, it appears like the systems are still learning to distinguish the innocent from malevolent ones. In their last crackdown, the Ricochet team said they had banned 6,000 hackers from the game. Still, the problem persists and is spreading like wildfire.

Call of Duty never runs out of issues and bugs, but the ones that are not meant to function in a certain way tend to be funny and useful like the one that came along with Season 2 Reloaded is a broken Jak Purifier that can melt zombies to a crisp. It is unknown when the next patch is going to be but one thing is for certain, the overpowered properties of the Purifier aren’t here to stay.
The franchise has its share of blunders and mishaps in terms of equipment that leaves players irritated and annoyed, while also being plagued by hackers and cheaters. Call of Duty: Warzone has taken a massive leap in becoming a cheater’s playground and it is very amusing to see some of the developers fumble in terms of balancing the firepower of any weapon.

Call of Duty nourished an era of competitive gamers, playing in open lobbies as they showcase their skills and how well attuned they are to the gameplay and knowledge of various maps but have gone a step too far with excessive cheating and exploits that even Joe Rogan can’t believe. The sports commentator is all about fairness and sportsmanship but after witnessing how players use dishonorable tactics and cheats to win is something he wishes to go away.
Unfortunately, cheating is everywhere and just in gaming, companies have taken preventative measures in the past but worked to no avail. Cheaters have discovered ways how to bypass the security of games where they can now produce certain mods that will give players specific advantages. It is sad to see well-respected franchises like Call of Duty be desecrated by this mischievous act.

Call of Duty is entering an era where cheating is a plague that doesn’t go away and shifted away from the traditional way they depicted warfare by adding futuristic elements and collaborations, Joe Rogan is not a fan of it as he explicitly stated in his podcast’s latest episode with Dan Soder. The UFC commentator is in disbelief that players can pay for all these cheats from a third-party company or entity, and is visibly disappointed by how developers are failing to combat this unjust act.
It is disheartening to witness players willingly paying for in-game advantages and resorting to cheating instead of playing fair. Although anti-cheating engines are integrated into both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone, they are not sufficient to handle the sheer number of cheaters. This ruins the game for everyone else who just wants to enjoy it as intended.

Cheaters in Call of Duty have become such a topic of debate, the subject has now reached certain celebrities. Recently, the conversation made it to The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast hosted by American comedian and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.

Recent patches in MW3 and Warzone were supposed to get rid of these cheaters, however, the issue persists and they continue to plague the game. Players have urged the devs to take strict actions against hackers, but all a user is left with is a feeling of being unheard.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for “Admirals Fund,” the series finale of “Billions,” now streaming on Paramount+.
“Billions” ends where it began. At the close of “Admirals Fund,” the series finale of the Showtime drama series, Bobby Axelrod is scheming once again to make a new fortune with his merry band of alpha-male traders, who are revved up by his leadership to kill in the name of capitalism.
The closing segment of “Billions” was unabashedly designed to appeal to fans of the sudsy drama, which turns on the crazier-than-fiction tales of hedge fund managers and traders. Axelrod, played with gusto until the final frame by Damian Lewis, winds up on top. His most recent foil, rival trader/investor Michael Prince (Corey Stoll), has been defeated, publicly humiliated — although he is destined to rise again. “As it has ever been for men like you over the centuries,” Prince’s loyal...

Billions will make its last power move — at least in this iteration of the franchise — later this year.
Showtime has confirmed that the seventh season of the series, which will feature the return of Damian Lewis as Bobby Axelrod, will be its last. Season seven will begin streaming Aug. 11, with an on-air premiere at 8 p.m. Et/Pt Aug. 13. (Co-star Dan Soder let it slip in a radio interview in March that the coming season would be it for Billions.)
While Billions is ending, the world of the show could continue as Showtime is developing several spinoffs (two of which are tentatively titled Millions and Trillions) with co-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The potential spinoffs are part of Showtime’s strategy to franchise some of its most successful original series.

Ok, Yellowjackets faithful: Time to dig in.
Think of last week’s final scene — of Shauna biting Jackie’s dismembered ear — as an appetizer in advance of the full-on cannibalistic bacchanal that rounds out Sunday’s hour. Because the show does not shy away from showing us exactly how hungry, and how altered, these girls are after several months in the wilderness.

Showtime’s finance drama “Billions” seems like a show nearing the end of its run. Damian Lewis is returning to the show after a season away, the announcement of a bunch of in-development spinoffs, and the uncertainty of Showtime’s future would all seem to indicate that the show’s upcoming seventh season is likely its last. And according to star Dan Soder, that is exactly the case.
Soder, who has played trader Dudley Mafee since Season 1, let slip during an appearance on NBC Sports Chicago’s “Football Night in Chicago” that “Billions” will end with Season 7.
“Season 7, the final season of Billions, on its way,” Soder said, then added, “You know… am I not supposed to say that? I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that. I think so. It’s fine.”
“It doesn’t matter. You just said it,” anchor Mike Berman replied.

Showtime recently teased that the Billions universe will expand with a plethora of spinoffs, but the main series is coming to an end.
Dan Soder, who has been with the show since the beginning, revealed the surprising fate of the hit drama over the weekend during an appearance on NBC Sports Chicago's Football Night in Chicago.
"Season 7, the final season of Billions, is on its way," Soder said during the telecast, adding:
"Am I not supposed to say that? I don't know if I'm supposed to say that."
"It doesn't matter. You just said it," Mike Berman responded.
Soder replied, "It's the final season."
Showtime has yet to confirm the news, but Soder's announcement isn't that surprising.
It was recently reported that Damian Lewis would return for an arc on Billions Season 7, which could be to wrap up Axe's journey on-screen.
"Bobby's back," Lewis told Stephen Colbert last month.

Damian Lewis is returning to the franchise and a multitude of spinoffs are being explored, but Billions could be set to end with its seventh season.
Dan Soder, who plays Dudley Mafee, a onetime Axe Capital employee who becomes Taylor Mason Capital’s first employee, recently let slip that Showtime’s longest-running drama is coming to an end with its upcoming season.
Soder revealed the news during an appearance on NBC Sports Chicago’s Football Night. “Season seven, the final season of Billions, is on its way,” a San Francisco 49ers-clad Soder said, before realizing that he probably shouldn’t have let that slip. “Am I not supposed to say that? I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that,” he added.
Showtime declined to comment.
The news comes as Lewis is returning as Bobby Axelrod in six of the 12 episodes that are set to premiere later this year.

Showtime‘s Billions appears to have gone all in, as the network drama series will be concluding with its seventh season, as revealed by cast member Dan Soder. The actor, who has played the role of stock trader Mafee since Season 1, accidentally disclosed the news during his appearance on NBC Sports Chicago’s Football Night in Chicago over the weekend. “Season 7, the final season of Billions, is on its way,” Soder said, adding, “Am I not supposed to say that? I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that.” “It doesn’t matter. You just said it,” anchor Mike Berman bantered, leaving Soder to reply with, “It’s the final season.” Showtime has yet to make an official announcement. Although the premiere date for Season 7 has yet to be announced, Damian Lewis is set to return as fan-favorite Bobby Axelrod in half of the episodes of the presumed final season.

Billions viewers might still be deciding whether or not they like Axe’s replacement Prince, but Showtime appears to be a fan. The cabler announced on Tuesday it has renewed the financial drama for Season 7.
Star Damian Lewis, who played Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, left Billions at the end of Season 5 and was replaced by Corey Stoll, whose character Mike Prince bought his investment firm and became the boss. Prince also double-crossed Paul Giamatti’s Attorney General Chuck Rhoades to seal the deal and immediately became his new nemesis.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for the “Billions” Season 5 finale, “No Direction Home,” including the ending.]
There are few things on TV more thrilling than a “Billions” episode that starts in media res. No matter how many hours the story jumps back, getting a glimpse of an opening that you know is going to be completely reframed is an invitation to go on a roller coaster that’ll end in fire or Ice Juice.
So in an hour that would ultimately mean the farewell of one of the headliner cast members that helped make “Billions” the “Billions” it became, it’s only fitting that the Season 5 finale teed up that ending with a trademark flourish. Kicking it off, there’s Chuck (Paul Giamatti) walking dazed through an empty-feeling Axe Cap atrium looking for one man in particular. After the previous week’s stunning close that left Axe (Damian Lewis) himself with a deer-in-the-headlights look, it’s easy...

It’s a tried-and-true method, in life and TV: When things get dull, just add sex. After four underwhelming episodes, mostly spent exhaustingly establishing new rivalries and schemes that hardly raise an eyebrow, the writers of “Billions” have finally delivered at least some of the goods that have recently been in short supply. The fifth episode of the season, “Contract,” advances new romantic entanglements for recently divorced Wendy (Maggie Siff) and Chuck (Paul Giamatti).
Since the groundwork had been carefully laid for both assignations, both were consummated without much fanfare or build-up. Still, as anyone who’s been through a dry spell will tell ya — it’s better than nothin’.
“Contract” begins with Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon) and Wendy teaming up to launch an impact fun within Axe Capital, later revealed to be named Taylor Mason Carbon. Taylor is an active presence in the season so far, but their character...

Exclusive: Truly Tasteless Jokes, a series of slim paperbacks that became a publishing juggernaut in the 1980s, is the subject of a new documentary feature just acquired by Virgil Films.
Tasteless, directed by Jeff Cerulli and Matt Ritter, traces the history of not only the books themselves but the way the material — much of it crude and controversial — has aged over the decades. The author of the books, Ashton Applewhite (who used the pen name Blanche Knott), later became a feminist and activist. She conceived of the original volume while making $8,500 a year as an entry-level employee in book publishing.
In a 2011 reminiscence she wrote for Harper’s magazine, titled “Being Blanche,” Applewhite reprised many of the jokes that filled the books, the first of which was the best-selling mass-market title of 1983. The punchlines started fairly PG-rated — “What’s the difference between garbage and a girl from New Jersey? Garbage...

Billions Season 4 Episode 8
In last week’s “Infinite Game,” the gestating plans of Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) reached the final, simmering stage of their poisonous brewing when, armed with the knowledge of Taylor Mason’s (Asia Kate Dillon) attempts to rekindle their relationship with their estranged father Douglas (Kevin Pollak), Axe Capital threw the mother of all monkey wrenches into the reunited family’s big plans. The result? Government bureaucracy and late stage capitalism at their finest. The Masons are no longer on speaking terms and Bobby Axelrod’s (Damian Lewis) can now flourish unimpeded.

The first season of Billions wrapped up with both Axe (Damian Lewis) and Chuck (Paul Giamatti) on the warpath against each other, and it’s been announced today that the series will return to Showtime on February 19th. With that, comes a very tense new trailer and a poster teasing the downfall of…well, someone.
With both men willing to sacrifice nearly everything they hold dear to take the other down, it’s impossible to say which of them could be about to fall, but based on what we see in this trailer, it’s not just Axe’s business practices they’ll clash over. Once again, it looks like Wendy will come between them, but it appears as if she’s happy embarking on her own path in life now.
For more on what to expect from Billions, here’s the newly released synopsis:

"I always thought that by the time I got married, I would be different." Samuel Goldwyn Films has debuted a trailer for an indie romantic comedy called It Had to Be You, about a woman who freaks out when she learns her boyfriend is going to propose to her.
