Derek played Safety for The University of Arizona from 1996 - 1999 and was a 4 Year Letter Winner earning his Degree in Theatre Arts & Sociology. After his College career, he went onto a very successful 10 years of NCAA Division I Football Coaching at Eastern Michigan University, Delaware State University and his Alma Mater, The University of Arizona. He also was briefly with the Hamburg Seadevils of NFL Europe. His home is in Tucson, AZ.
