The reason Mark has fans from around the world is due to the documentary Homme Less that he wrote and performed. It is his life's story: while seemingly living an enviable life style- actor, former international model and fashion photographer and, well yes, being "easy on the eye", Mark played at the same time a double role of being home less and sleeping for 6 years on an East Village, Manhattan roof top. he never thought of himself as home less for what ever that's worth, but rather an urban camper. Ironically, at this same time he was named volunteer of the year at the home less shelter at which he volunteered for (as photographer and Santa).
The film had early supporters and collaborators, most notably jazz bassist Kyle Eastwood, who offered to do the film score and not just a song or two as he has done on his father's films. Grammy winner's Mumford and Sons liked the film so much they partnered to use the film as the visual for their release "Tompkins Square Park".
While supporting the film's distribution in Japan (NHK -TV, Japan Times, Elle magazine, Vogue) the efforts paid off with being ranked as the #2 indie film in Tokyo. Mark has also had a full interview segment on "The View" with a delightful Nicole Wallace and a slightly antagonistic Whoopie Goldberg.
