- Born in Melbourne, Australia, Anna O'Byrne is an Australian musical theatre actress and soprano singer, best known for playing Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera and its sequel Love Never Dies. She attended Elwood Primary School and St Michael's Grammar School, playing violin since the age of 5 and performing with the Australian Girls Choir. O'Byrne graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree. She was cast as Christine Daaé mere weeks after graduation in 2009 before becoming a principal artist at Victorian Opera, where she performed both musicals and classic operas. In 2012, a video Love Never Dies (2012), featuring O'Byrne, was released.
