He was awarded the CMG (Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George) in the 2017 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to the global antislavery movement. He is the Director, Founder and Trustee for the Free The Slaves: Antislavery International; Freedom Fund; Walk Free; and International Cocoa Initiative.
