- Melisa's great grandparents, on her fathers side, owned a picture theatre in Katikati, New Zealand. Her great-grandmother played the piano accompanying silent films, and it was recalled that if the movie broke down, she would entertain by playing the piano whilst Melisa's great-grandfather would tap dance on stage until things were ready to start again.
