Glenn Bruno was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up In the South Central L.A. area. He attended St. Cecilia Catholic School and Mount Carmel High School where he studied drama with John West. He performed on stage in HIgh School productions and was a student activist as well as Student Body President. He attended Loyola Marymount University majoring in Communication Arts and took many film and television production classes. he was a member of the Little Theater Company at LMU. He began writing poetry in the 7th grade and continues to this day. He worked on many stage productions for the Inner City Cultural Center as a volunteer and wrote and co-produced musical performances at William Grant Still Art Center, Ivar Theater and LATC. He performed his original spoken word poetry at The Midnight Special in Santa Monica, The Readers Edge in Montrose and The Stage Left in Glendale as well as Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. He started a YouTube channel in 2011 to highlight his poetry and songwriting and began working as an actor in stage, film and television. He was featured in the music video Heart Weighs a Ton by Alex Metric in 2014 which told the story of overcoming depression by dancing. He joined the music group Hip Hop Choir in 2014 as a rapper and dancer where he used the nickname Grand Daddy G. This is the name of his YouTube channel and his social media handle. He has worked on over 120 projects as an actor including background, music videos, commercial, industrial, internet, voice over and theater in addition to feature films, short films and television. He continues to perform as an actor, poet, musician, singer, songwriter and rapper known as Grand Daddy G. He is active on social media as a digital creator including his Grand Daddy G YouTube channel featuring original poetry, music, acting and dance reels. He plays keyboards and writes original songs. He is a father of 4 with over 13 Grandchildren. He enjoys hiking and spending time in nature.
