There’s a growing buzz that Wesley Snipes could surprise fans by reprising his role as Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner than expected.

While Mahershala Ali is preparing to take on the character in a new Marvel Studios project, it appears that Snipes’ portrayal of the vampire hunter isn’t over yet.

Insider Mttsh reports that Snipes could be featured again in the MCU. This comes after his character was seen alongside Elektra, played by Jennifer Garner, and Dafne Keen’s X-23, as well as Channing Tatum’s Gambit in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine.’

The sequence takes place immediately after the Deadpool Corps decide to stop fighting so they can celebrate the arrival of Peter. Earth-10005's Merc with the Mouth decides to join in and share how his Peter gave him a sense of belonging...only to be immediately met with a chorus of insults from the Corps.

"Get f***ed, d***head," Kidpool tells him before another chimes in to say, "Go back to Canada, a**hole."

However, the biggest insult comes when Welshpool - played by Wrexham footballer Paul Mullins - gives Wade Wilson two fingers and shouts, "F*** off, c***!" Yes, Deadpool & Wolverine very nearly featured the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first true C-bomb.

In an exciting update from Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige shared major plans for Deadpool and Wolverine, two of the franchise’s most popular characters.

On Entertainment Weekly’s Awardist podcast, Ryan Reynolds shared that he, co-star Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy were eager to include these iconic characters. Unfortunately, the cameos were scrapped due to budget constraints. While disappointing, it’s a reminder of the tricky balance between creative ambition and production realities.

Samantha Lorraine and Dafne Keen in ‘Night Comes’

Magnum Pi‘s Jay Hernandez makes his feature film directorial debut with Night Comes, which just unveiled its first photo. Described as a survival thriller, the first still from the film features You are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah‘s Samantha Lorraine and Deadpool & Wolverine‘s Dafne Keen.

Heels‘ Alexander Ludwig also stars in Hernandez’s first feature.

“Night Comes unfolds against the backdrop of a cataclysmic event that threatens to engulf humanity,” reads the official synopsis. “Two sisters (Keen and Lorraine) manage to escape the horror only to find themselves thrust into a perilous struggle for survival, tasked with a mission that holds the fate of mankind in the balance.”

Shaun Redick (Get Out), Yvette Yates Redick, and Big Picture Cinema Group partners Jayce Barriero and Jacky Lai serve as producers. Hernandez co-wrote the screenplay with Jason Bourque and Nancy Isaak.

Hostel actor Jay Hernandez (Suicide Squad) makes his feature film directorial debut with Night Comes, which is launching sales at AFM this week, per Variety. The survival horror thriller stars Deadpool & Wolverine’s Dafne Keen and Samantha Lorraine (“The Walking Dead: World Beyond”).

In the film, set after an event that threatens humanity’s existence, Keen and Lorraine play sisters “who manage to survive, only to find themselves tasked with a mission that holds the fate of mankind in the balance.”

Alexander Ludwig also stars.

The announcement comes with a first-look image of Keen and Lorraine’s characters in post-apocalyptic attire.

Deadpool & Wolverine's "The Art of the Movie" book goes on sale in a few days and a new video offers a glimpse at what's inside. That includes a long list of Variants left on the cutting room floor along with comic-accurate costumes for the Human Torch and Elektra.

For now, though, we're focusing on Wolverine. The montage featuring his many Variants remains a highlight in the Marvel Studios threequel but it's now clear that many of them didn't make the final cut.

In an Instagram post supporting Deadpool & Wolverine's bid to have the choir version of "Like a Prayer" recognised at the Grammys as "Best Arrangement, Instrumental or Capella," Reynolds confirmed that he once imagined the song being used following Colossus's death!

In Deadpool & Wolverine, the threequel's leads crossed paths with Variants of Blade, Elektra, X-23, and Gambit in The Void. Ultimately, they'd assemble to take on Cassandra Nova's army, though only Laura was confirmed to be alive and well on Earth-10005.

Inevitably, it didn't take fans long to spot Gambit in one of the Tva's monitors during a post-credits scene which saw Wade Wilson run the tape back on his conversation with Johnny Storm.

Ryan Reynolds later released that as a deleted scene showing the X-Man walking through The Void before he turns around and a Marvel Sparkle Circle is reflected in his eyes. Post-release interviews have also strongly hinted that these heroes were sent back to their respective realities.

Deadpool & Wolverine is already available on Digital and hits DVD and Blu-ray next week. Despite that, there are quite a few people still heading to theaters to watch the R-Rated Marvel Studios threequel.

This past weekend, the movie reached $699.4 million at the international box office and $635.3 million domestically. Now, with a $1,334.6 billion total worldwide, it's managed to pass Star Wars: The Last Jedi to become the 20th highest-grossing movie of all time.

That's a phenomenal result for Deadpool & Wolverine and one which cements its place in history as one of the biggest blockbusters ever.

With any luck, this means Marvel Studios will make more R-Rated movies when the occasion calls for it. The Deadpool threequel may have earned more with a PG-13 rating but it wouldn't have been the same and benefitted greatly from being able to push the boundaries.

A few weeks ago, there were rumblings online that Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman might be in the mix to host next year's Oscars. Now, Deadline has confirmed that is indeed the case.

However, the trade has learned that the plan would be for them to be part of a series of rotating hosts, with each individual or pair doing part of the show (this is a result of the Academy's hope to increase interest in the awards show following years of declining ratings).

Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Dwayne Johnson have also been approached, though the latter is eyed by the Academy on an almost yearly basis. Kevin Hart and Chris Rock are no longer being considered, while Jimmy Kimmel and John Mulaney have both turned the gig down.

However, in an interview, Headland discussed her approach to the story which explores the Sith and their rule of two while taking inspiration from George Lucas’ prequel trilogy.

Another Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene has been officially released today and this one shows more of the budding romance between Hunter B-15 and Peter.

They share a kiss before the former returns to the Tva and, when Peter enters his apartment, he declares he's in love to new roommates, Deadpool Corps members Kidpool and Headpool.

It's a fun scene, but one we're not surprised ended up on the cutting room floor. Hunter B-15 is a pretty serious character and a romance with Peter somewhat cheapens that. It also doesn't make a ton of sense that these two dangerous members of the Corps would be left to roam free on Earth-10005.

The Tva will likely play a role in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, even if it's just to offer some exposition about the Multiverse and why Kang's Variants no longer pose a threat.

Back to Deadpool & Wolverine,...

The Star Wars franchise has seen quite a bit of success in launching new stories via the Disney Plus streaming service. We don't have to look far to support that comment, as The Mandalorian - the very first Disney Plus series ever - has gone on to become one of the franchise's biggest success stories, all while introducing viewers to a new Star Wars character, who has since become a major player in the saga.

Lucasfilm attempted to recreate that strategy again with the more recent The Acolyte. Like The Mandalorian, the show didn't feature any of the well-known characters from the well-known franchise, distancing itself from the iconic Skywalker Saga through its timing and setting, all while focusing on new, original characters in a story that played out more like a murder mystery than anything else.

Unfortunately, the show only lasted for one season as it was cancelled shortly...

Jodie Turner-Smith, who played a role in the canceled Star Wars series “The Acolyte”, publicly disagreed with Disney for staying quiet about online harassment against the show’s cast. Turner-Smith acted as Mother Aniseya in the series. She expressed frustration that Disney did not speak out against racist and mean comments aimed at the cast, especially her co-star Amandla Stenberg.

In a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, Turner-Smith stated, “Disney needs to stop being silent when people are aggressively attacked online with racism and abuse. It’s just not fair to say nothing. It’s really unfair.” Some fans accused “The Acolyte” of having a “woke” message, even before it was canceled. The show, set in the early years of the Star Wars universe, was ended by Lucasfilm after one season due to low viewership and mixed reviews. However, Disney did not comment on harassment of the cast during this time.

Another Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene has been released and it raises some interesting questions about where this sequence was meant to fit into the R-Rated threequel.

Mr. Paradox - who has clearly crossed paths with the Merc with the Mouth at this point given the state of his face - has tracked Hunter B-15 down to ask for resources he intends to use for the observation post on Earth-100005. Of course, we know he wants those to speed up construction on the Time Ripper, but the Loki character isn't biting.

This doesn't feel like an overly necessary scene...which explains why it ended up on the cutting room floor! However, we're guessing it was meant to better explain how Hunter B-15 later figures out what Mr. Paradox is up to.

With Deadpool & Wolverine's Digital release just a couple of days away, there are lots of epic moments...

Deadpool and Wolverine is set to arrive on digital on October 1, before hitting 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD a few weeks later on October 22, and the gag-reel from the extra features has now been officially released online (via Mashable).

The minute-long video features some very funny out-takes, with Ryan Reynolds clearly improvising some of his dialogue (he comes up with some hilariously inventive alternate middle names for Tony Stark). We also get to see a few shots from scenes that didn't make the final cut, including Wade Wilson attempting a piggyback (which we saw in set photos), and the Merc With a Mouth interrupting Logan's (Hugh Jackman) conversation with X-23 (Dafne Keen) to bring Blade (Wesley Snipes) a S'more.
