He grew up in suburban Utah before moving to Portland, OR, to enroll as a Portland State University film studies student. Due to his inability to read or write, Kacey earned a 1.5 GPA on his way to not graduating. Attended Prague Film School for a Film Production Certificate (citation needed). After failing Prague Film School, he moved to Chicago and started working on film projects as a production assistant. He raised money for his only short film through a Go-Fund-Me campaign. The short film was never released. Kacey Meyer died on May 25, 2024.
