Born Pablo José Barbato Santamarina in Madrid, Spain on the 30th of June 1994. Son of British journalist and translator Frank Barbato and Spanish journalist Ana Santamarina, Pablo is the oldest of four siblings. His vocation for cinema started at a very early age because of his father's passion for film, who also was involved in film in his early years as an Extra in Warren Beatty's Reds and Blake Edward's The Revenge of the Pink Panther.
Pablo's first contact with a movie set was in 2014 when he worked in marketing and social media for the movie Marshland (dir. Alberto Rodríguez). Since then he has worked for the WBBC (Whispering Bob Harris Broadcasting Corporation) thanks to whom he became country singer Kimmie Rhodes still photographer during one of her London performances; and he has been a trainee to Juan Carlos Gómez and award winning cinematographer Alex Catalán (A.E.C).
