Season 10 of Chicago Med introduced a few new faces to the show’s ever-changing cast including actor Darren Barnet, who has joined the show as pediatric resident Dr. John Frost.
Right out of the gate, fans fell in love with Med’s new addition who made his debut fighting to help get his young patient the care she needed as his hospital prepared to close down. In just one episode, Dr. Frost quickly won over the fans, though we’re not surprised at all given the character is played by actor Darren Barnet, who exudes charisma and brings a likability to every character he plays.
So it’s no surprise that Chicago Med fans have quickly been won over and are eager to check out Barnet’s past roles! While Chicago Med marks his first series regular role on a broadcast drama, Barnet is no stranger to the industry and...

No one is ready to say goodbye to The Umbrella Academy — especially the cast. “I don’t want it to end, but everything has to end,” Ritu Arya, who plays Lila, told Tudum at the Season 4 premiere in Los Angeles. “So I’m in acceptance and gratitude.”
Because we’re in our gratitude phase too, we want to say thank you to the series’ loyal fans by giving away 17 (!) posters signed by all of the Brellies — Lila, Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Five (Aidan Gallagher), Ben (Justin H. We recently said bye-bye to the Brellies.
The hilariously dysfunctional Hargreeves superfamily bid farewell to the multiverse in The Umbrella Academy’sfinal episode. But luckily for us, the fun isn’t over yet.
While the series, created by showrunner Steve Blackman, recently concluded its apocalyptic adventures after four wild seasons, there are still some laughs left in this timeline.
A riotous Umbrella Academy blooper reel released at Geeked Week, Netflix’s epic fan event, proved that the actors’ on-set antics are just as zany as the superhero siblings’ hijinks.
Watch as David Castañeda (Diego) and Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison) flub their lines and utter some gobbledygook. Justin Min (Ben) can’t keep a straight face when he forgets a phrase or misses a mark alongside his fellow cast members.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 concludes the story of the Hargreeves family after a saga of time travel and apocalypses.
Season 3 concluded with the universe being reset and the main cast losing their superpowers. This season jumps six years from that point, with the siblings acclimated to passably normal lives. Five (Aidan Gallagher) has joined the CIA. Husband and wife Lila (Riya Arya) and Diego (David Castañeda) are leading a suburban life that has taken a toll after such a long time dwelling outside the realm of normality. Klaus (Robert Sheehan), no longer immortal and living in Alison’s (Emmy Raver-Lampman) basement, has traded addiction for intense paranoia, while Alison’s career as an actress and her relationship with her daughter are under immense strain. Ben (Justin H. Min) is newly out on bail after years in prison. Viktor (Elliot Page) owns a bar, and Luther (Tom Hopper) is a “professional...

The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy landed on Netflix the other week, and while we generally enjoyed it, a great many fans had issues. (Beware Spoilers below.)
One of the big issues fans had was that the relationship between Diego (David Castañeda) and Lila (Ritu Arya) petered out; between seasons, their marriage became stale and passionless, and we catch up with them around the time Lila and Diego's brother Number 5 (Aidan Gallagher) have an affair. Even Castañeda was ticked about it when he first read the scripts. "I was pissed off,” the actor said earlier this month. “I was angry. I talked to [showrunner] Steve [Blackman] a few times. I was like, ‘Hey, does this really have to happen?’”

This article contains spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 4.
For the past four seasons, The Umbrella Academy has repeatedly put its main characters through the same cycle: Uncover personal and family trauma, save the world, rinse and repeat. There was hope that the final season of the show might finally see the Hargreeves siblings find the happy ending they so desperately craved and deserved. But as much as the cheery demeanor of the series’ final sequence wants you to believe that this is the happiest ending these messy, complicated misfits could have hoped for, in reality, it’s a slap in the face to all that these characters have endured.
From their immaculate Marigold conception to their subsequent adoption and training by Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), the Umbrella Academy has collectively been through an immense amount of trauma. When we first see them as adults in season 1, it’s clear...

Through four seasons of Netflix’s superhero series The Umbrella Academy, members of the dysfunctional Hargreeves crime-fighting family have lost and regained their powers multiple times. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the weirdness Luther, Diego, Allison, and company endure.
Amid all the bickering, time-traveling and universe-hopping, it can be easy to forget that The Umbrella Academy even had superpowers in the first place! Thankfully early seasons of the show and the comic source material from Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá provide a helpful reminder of what the Hargreeves are capable of.
What follows is a breakdown of every member of The Umbrella Academy’s (and Lila’s) power. The availability of those powers vary from season-to-season and sometimes they unlock a new dimension of said powers, but the fundamentals remain the same throughout.

Can you believe that The Umbrella Academy has come to an end after four seasons. Netflix gave this series a chance to wrap up its storylines, and it did not disappoint.
Admittedly, the fourth season was a little rushed with only six episodes to it. However, the ending brought growth, emotion, and closure for many individuals in the series.
It’s now time to rank the seasons from worst to best. Could the first season be beaten? Did the fourth season end the series on a high? Here is my ranking of all four seasons.

The fourth and final season of Netflix’s high-profile comic-book series “The Umbrella Academy” had an underwhelming debut, failing to top Netflix’s Top 10 list in its first week of availability. To be clear it made the list at number 2, but it could not overcome the second week for “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.”
Both of the series tallied a rounded 8.4 million views last week, which is low — but not unheard of — for top-ranking Netflix shows. It was the number 3 English-language series that reminds us Netflix was a bit of an afterthought streamer over these past few weeks.
“Simon Biles Rising: Season 1” ranked third for both of the past two weeks on Netflix, while Simone Biles herself was busy ranking first and second over on Peacock. The docuseries has spent four weeks on the Top 10, and even with the Olympics’ gymnastics competition in the rearview, it brought in another 3.7 million views.

For four seasons, fans have been waiting for the multiple timeline–spanning mysteries in The Umbrella Academy to unravel.
Luckily, by the time we reach the end of the series, the timeline has finally aligned and we get some answers. Like, how did Ben (Justin H. Min) die? What is the Jennifer Incident? And where do the Brellies — Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Five (Aidan Gallagher), Ben, Viktor (Elliot Page), and Lila (Ritu Arya) — end up?
But Tudum and series showrunner and creator Steve Blackman are keenly aware there are still some burning questions fans are dying to know the answers to (especially for Og fans of the Dark Horse graphic novel series, created by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, on which the TV series...

Steve Blackman’s adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s superhero family comic book series completes its run on Netflix on August 8th, 2024 with the finale of ‘The Umbrella Academy’. At its premiere event at the Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Boulevard earlier in the week, audiences got to experience the first episode of the fourth and final season, just a taste of what’s to come for our gang of siblings-turned-superheroes. ‘The Umbrella Academy’ follows the misadventures of the Hargreeves siblings, all adopted by the mysterious Reginald Hargreeves, as they are pulled through time to stop the apocalypse in different timelines and eras. Season four begins back in the present, finally! But, it’s the wrong timeline, corrupted by an incomplete reset attempt by Reginald, and they’ve all lost their superpowers. The Hargreeves know they’re not in the right present day, but somehow, so do some civilians,...

The Umbrella Academy stems from a cult comic book series, transporting its oddball ensemble to the screen with colorful flair. Led by the eccentric billionaire “Monocle,” who adopted seven infants with super abilities, the Umbrella Academy follows the now-adult siblings as they try to stop doomsday devices. Each brings unique powers, from telekinesis to speaking with the dead and fighting with acrobatic action scenes alongside quirky gadgets.
We’re introduced to Viktor able to generate pure energy, nervous yet caring Luther with tremendous strength, and fiery Diego skilled in knife throwing. The ever-enthusiastic Klaus connects to spirits while logical Five zips through time and space. Allison alters reality with the whisper of “I heard a rumor” and Ben merges with a shadowy monster. Steeped in sibling rivalry, they reunite against mounting threats too bizarre even for this strange world. From murderous mannequins to alternate timelines, each mission spirals further into madness.

The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy was just released on Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. To celebrate the great Netflix original series based on Gerard Way’s comic book series of the same name, we're ranking all seven of the Hargreeves siblings from worst to best.
I thought this ranking would be easy. I have clear favorites, of course, but as I watched the final six episodes of The Umbrella Academy, I realized just how much I like and respect all of these characters. Even the siblings ranked lower on the list are terrific, well-rounded, and messy characters. That’s a testament to the source material, Steve Blackman and the show’s writers, and of course, the entire cast that brought these characters to life.
Let’s get the ranking started with Ben, the seventh-best of the Hargreeves siblings.
There are some mild spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 4 ahead!

Note: There are spoilers for “The Umbrella Academy” Season 4 below.
“The Umbrella Academy” just signed off with its fourth and final season, and the Netflix series brought it all to an end with a happy reunion — of sorts. The series ends with a singular, happier timeline created thanks to the Hargreeves siblings’ sacrifice – and it’s full of familiar faces.
After the siblings realize that the marigold giving them their powers is also what’s causing the world to end repeatedly, they agree to let The Cleanse erase them from ever existing. This results in one unified, seemingly much better timeline.
The show ends with a pan around a park where we see a number of familiar faces from the series’ run; all living much better, safer lives. Showrunner Steve Blackman told TheWrap it was a lot of phone calls, but he ended up getting almost everyone he wanted for the scene.

On “The Umbrella Academy,” it was always about the end of the world. From the very first episode of the Netflix based on the comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, the superpowered siblings at the center were tasked with saving the world from themselves — again, and again, and again.
So it was only fitting that the series finale — aptly titled “End of the Beginning” — would tackle this problem head on, forcing Viktor (Elliot Page), Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Alison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Ben (Justin H. Min), and Five (Aidan Gallagher) to reckon with their own role in all the catastrophes they’ve witnessed and how they can set it all right once and for all. They broke the timeline just by being born, and the only way to stop infinite timelines and world-ending debacles is to remove themselves from the equation.

“The Umbrella Academy” came to a close with its Season 4 finale this week, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few last threads worth explaining.
The shortened final season still jammed quite a bit into just six episodes and the finale, in particular, was fit to burst. The story followed the Hargreeves siblings facing off once and for all with The Keepers in order to stop The Cleanse from ending the universe. The Keepers’ hope was that The Cleanse would end the many broken timelines once and for all, ensuring the main one was restored.
Five (Aidan Gallagher) learns in the finale — in a diner full of his variants, no less — that the marigold that arrived on Earth with Reginald (Colm Feore) and granted the Hargreeves siblings their powers branched the main timeline into the multiverse. Five is...

Through four seasons on Netflix, the big draw of “The Umbrella Academy” was getting to watch its uniquely crafted characters interact with one another in increasingly bizarre, mindbending scenarios.
As sibling superheroes with varying powers, the core cast proudly displayed their complicated interpersonal dynamics regardless of whatever world-ending drama was going on in the background. However, with so many actors on the call sheet, it was unfeasible for every single possible pairing to get their moment in the spotlight.
In honor of the final season’s release, stars Elliot Page, David Castañeda, Justin H. Min, Aidan Gallagher, Ritu Arya, Tom Hopper and Robert Sheehan handpicked which of their fellow cast members they wished they got to interact with more onscreen.
“We never got to do s–t together, I’ve got to say. Not even a second, David and I,” Page said. “For me, it’s Viktor and Diego, at...

In the fourth and final season of “The Umbrella Academy,” the time-jumping, world-saving saga involving the Hargreeves siblings comes to a dramatic close as Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Ben (Justin H. This time, however, the once-powerful members of their father’s Umbrella Academy have been forced to embrace a new normal after the fallout at the end of Season 3.

The Umbrella Academy may have started off with each of the Brellies dancing on their own to Tiffany’s “I Think We’re Alone Now.” But the fractured siblings ended the series together, doing what they do best: unintentionally causing the end of the world, but stopping it just before it does.
“I wanted to show that families, even with time apart, can always come back together,” explained series creator, showrunner, and executive producer Steve Blackman. “They’re the Hargreeves family. They love each other.”
As Season 3 ended with Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) teaming up with Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) to reset the timeline, the siblings began Season 4 as powerless adults, truly on their own. “This is the first time in their lives that they really had to grow up and it’s definitely changed them,” said Blackman.

As I sat down to watch the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, I found myself wondering: where, when, and how did things leave off in the season 3 finale? If you're like me, watching that recap before the season begins was incredibly crucial, and the reminder got me hyped for what would be a fitting end to a show that dealt with multiple apocalypses, strange and wild characters, and a family unlike any other.
While sitting down to watch the final season, I was reminded that the Hargreeves clan ended season 3 on a rather interesting note. Daddy Hargreeves (Colm Feore), or some version of him anyway, attempted to obliterate all the Hargreeves children (and did technically kill one of them) after reneging on a plan he made with Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman). After seemingly betraying her family, Allison stepped in and made a decision that would shake the familiy to its core.

Not many series finales feel like series finales nowadays. The streaming era’s abundance of options compels TV shows to leave the door open on their way out, inviting some other network or streamer to decide their story isn’t quite done.
That is decidedly not the case for Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy. The season 4 finale of this superhero saga operates as a definitive conclusion for the show’s characters and their world. No longer bound to the incomplete comic source material penned by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, showrunner Steve Blackman and his writers’ room conjure up an ultimate end for the Hargreeves family.
Here is how The Umbrella Academy series finale says goodbye to Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (Castañeda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Five (Aidan Gallagher), Ben (Justin H. Min), Viktor (Elliot Page), and more.

Plot: The Hargreeves siblings have scattered after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion, which completely reset their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal — with wildly varying degrees of success. Yet the trappings of their uncanny new world prove too hard to ignore for very long. Their father, Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire. A mysterious association known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing the reality they’re living in is a lie and a great reckoning is coming. As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must come together one last time — and risk upsetting the shaky peace they’ve all endured so much to secure — to finally set things right.

From ’60s hippy cults to intricately choreographed sibling dance-offs, there’s never a dull moment for the dysfunctional superfamily of The Umbrella Academy, no matter the timeline.
The fourth and final season of the superpowered drama, created by Steve Blackman and based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s comic series, ties up the hilariously chaotic timelines woven through the series.
Throughout the mayhem, there’s one constant: the Hargreeves family. Luther (Tom Hopper) is an extra strong half-gorilla man. Diego (David Castañeda) manipulates objects and weapons in midair. Klaus (Robert Sheehan) sees dead people. Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) has the power of suggestion. Viktor (Elliot Page) turns sound and emotion into energy blasts. Five (Aidan Gallagher) can leap through time and space. Ben (Justin H. Min) has some vicious tentacles. When they aren’t bickering, they’re fighting crime and saving the world.

Picking up where we left off in episode 2, The Umbrella Academy season 4 episode 3 gives us a little background on Jennifer, though it creates more questions than answers. The Hargreeves go to Reginald for an explanation, while Klaus navigates life with powers again. We break down the biggest moments from "The Squid and the Girl" right here!
Warning: Major spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 4 episode 3 are below.
The opening of the third episode of season 4 shows us a news broadcast, where two fishermen have caught a huge squid. As they talk to an interviewer about their catch, they realize there's something inside of it trying to get out. When they cut open the squid, they're all completely shocked to find a little girl inside. When they ask her if she knows what's happened, all she says is: "The Cleanse." Creepy! A quick shot of Reginald is seen in the background.

The second episode of The Umbrella Academy season 4 takes place the morning after the Hargreeves siblings' dinner together, and they're feeling serious effects of those marigold shots.
Warning: Major spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 4 episode 2 are below.
Luther wakes up, feeling incredibly hungover, and when he goes to work his boss suspects he's on drugs. He begins a performance and realizes he somehow has impressive strength, dancing with women in the audience and picking them up. His powers are coming back, of course, but he doesn't realize it yet. Diego delivers packages and is also amused by his strength, finding the ability to throw mail into mailboxes perfectly without having to get out of the truck. Five accidentally blinks (a.k.a. teleports) and takes a sick day from the CIA office, unsure of what's going on.

For the Hargreeves siblings, the end of the world is getting a little old hat. After all, they’ve thwarted an impending apocalypse every season since “The Umbrella Academy” premiered on Netflix in 2019 (nevermind that they’ve also inadvertently caused all of them), so it makes sense that after sidestepping the kugelblitz at the end of Season 3, they’d be ready for a break.
That’s where we meet them at the beginning of Season 4, which picks up six years after we last saw the dysfunctional family stumble into a new reality where none of them had superpowers. For some, such as Viktor (Elliot Page) and Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), getting to live life as regular humans was a relief. For others, who defined themselves by their superhuman abilities, “normal” life presented a unique challenge, and they struggled to adapt. But after six years, they’ve all settled into their new,...

Coming out of the boom of superhero movies and television, The Umbrella Academy proved Netflix could hit a different tone. Often irreverent and always emotional, the Gerard Way-penned adaptation thrived as a critique of the X-Men. Simultaneously, showrunner Steve Blackman ensured the same concerns of sex, drugs, and teenage angst carried over from the comics to the small screen. With Season 4 serving as its final season, The Umbrella Academy continues its antiques, but a rushed finale leaves us wanting a little more.

Finally, The Umbrella Academy is back! The Netflix fan-favorite has returned for a fourth and final season and all six episodes are now available to stream. The premiere, "The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want," introduces us to the Hargreeves now that they've settled into their new realities: the reset timeline where they no longer have powers. Remember when Reginald reset everything at the end of season 3? Yeah, the siblings have all but accepted they aren't superheroes anymore.
But all of that might just change in The Umbrella Academy season 4! The premiere episode is a great reminder of why we love this Netflix Original so much.
Warning: Major spoilers for The Umbrella Academy season 4 episode 1 are below.
It's been six years since the events of the season 3 finale, and the season 4 premiere opens up by introducing us to two new characters who will be very important in this installment.

‘The Umbrella Academy’ Showrunner Says the Hargreeves Find It ‘Very Hard Being Ordinary’ in Season 4
The Hargreeves siblings are learning the hard way at the start of “The Umbrella Academy” Season 4 that getting exactly what you wanted isn’t so great.
Season 3 of the Netflix series ended with the Hargreeves clan – Viktor (Elliot Page), Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) and Five (Aidan Gallagher) – in a new timeline and powerless. For seasons, the group largely lamented their gifts, so it seemed that they’d finally been given a win.
Showrunner Steve Blackman told TheWrap “be careful what you wish for” because it turns out being a regular person when you spent life as the opposite isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
“They’re not loving it,” Blackman said. “It’s very hard being ordinary when you were extraordinary and the fun of the beginning of the season is: how do you go from being a superhero...

When Aidan Gallagher joined “The Umbrella Academy,” he was already a huge fan of the comic books of the same name.
But, he didn’t realize that comic co-creator Gerard Way had lead alternative rock band My Chemical Romance.
“It made like ultimate sense,” Gallagher, who plays Number Five, told Variety at the premiere of the show’s fourth and final season at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Monday night. “When I got the show and made that connection, I’d just channel ‘The Black Parade’ everyday on my way to set, listening to sort of get the rage and chaotic nature of Five.”
The new season sees the Hargreeves family stripped of their powers and left to fend for themselves, as a mysterious association believes they’re in the wrong timeline because of the superhero clan.

The quick-paced sequence unfolds like this: Viktor lies unconscious on the floor. Diego flips onto the escalator and sprints towards the top while Luther yells,...

The quick-paced sequence unfolds like this: Viktor lies unconscious on the floor. Diego flips onto the escalator and sprints towards the top while Luther yells,...

The Umbrella Academy’s final season will soon be with us, and Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for it. Take a look below.
The Hargreeves siblings have seen their fair share of apocalypses and it seems like another one is coming their way.
The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will find the siblings, all of whom have unique superpowers, facing another disaster as Ben (Justin H Min) seems to be a ticking time bomb who’s about to end the world.
Take a look at the first The Umbrella Academy season 4 trailer below.
The trailer is fittingly set to My Chemical Romance’s ‘The End’; not only is the song perfect for a series coming to its conclusion, but it’s of course performed by Gerard Way, the creator of the comics the series is based on.

Update: The Hargreeves siblings’ journey is coming to an end in the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy. Netflix has released the final trailer for the time-travel drama, which also gives us a glimpse of Nick Offerman’s character as Dr. Gene Thibedeau.
“The world we live in is one big phony baloney lie,” Offerman’s Thibedeau is heard in a voiceover. “That tentacle boy is the key to understanding all the timelines.” Tentacle boy is an apparent reference to Justin H. Min’s Ben Hargreeves, who died during a mission but whose storyline appears to be a focus in Season 4.

The Umbrella Academy has one last chance to save the timeline.
Netflix released the season four trailer for one of the streamer’s most popular shows on Tuesday, teasing the group embattled in one last mission to save the world.
Among others, Nick Offerman will join the season four cast, and fans catch glimpses of his character in the new trailer. “The world we live in is one big phony baloney lie,” he says in a voiceover. “That tentacle boy is the key to understanding all the timelines.”
It appears Offerman’s character is referring to Ben, played by Justin H. Min, whose character’s back-from-the-dead storyline will feature heavily in season four.
The new installment, set for release in August, will begin after season three’s major showdown at the Hotel Oblivion, which reset the group’s timeline and left the original siblings stripped of their powers. Now, they...
