The 2024 MTV EMAs winners are being announced!

MTV‘s annual EMAs awards ceremony is taking place on Sunday (November 10), with Taylor Swift leading the pack with seven nominations, including Best Video, Best Pop and Biggest Fans.

The show is being hosted by Rita Ora, and broadcast live across the globe from Manchester, United Kingdom. The show will also be available in multiple international territories live on Pluto TV and on-demand on Paramount+.

Name this crew, “the Colombia Reggaeton All-Stars.” On Thursday, Karol G, Feid, J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro, and Blessd joined forces for a catchy victory lap for Colombia’s thriving reggaeton scene, titled “+57.” The song title is a reference to the country’s area code.

The sexy perreo hears all six Colombianos singing about a baddie from Medellín that’s just too hard to contain. The track was co-written by Keityn and his 18-year-old protégé Dfzm, and produced by none other than Ovy on the Drums.

So, he’s the last person anyone would expect to hear publicly venting frustration about things, especially video games. Pitbull, Anitta, Becky G, and Kali Uchis will be among the stars to grace the stage at the 2024 Latin Grammys on Nov. 14. On Monday, the Latin Recording Academy announced a second set of performers for the awards show, which includes Emilia, Grupo Frontera, Danny Ocean, Edgar Barrera, and Reik.

Other performers include the girl group Darumas, who is up for Best New Artist; Leonel García; Silvia Pérez Cruz; and Carlos Rivera. All of the performers are up for Latin Grammys this year, except Reik and Pitbull, who’ve won Latin Grammys in the past.

Selena Gomez hosted her second annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in L.A. on Thursday, with a focus on youth mental health as the star opened up about her own personal experiences.

The event, with the theme of “A Night of Radiance and Reflection,” supported the Rare Impact Fund’s mission to mobilize $100 million for organizations increasing access to youth mental health services and education around the world. One percent of all Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand sales are also donated to the Rare Impact Fund.

Billy Crudup served as the evening’s emcee, and Gomez took the stage inside the benefit to talk about the cause, acknowledging, “My ultimate dream has always been to help people.”

On her own mental health journey, the star said, “When I received my diagnosis for bipolar it changed everything for me. Everything I needed was about the knowledge that allowed me to get the right support.

The impressive roster of guest stars on Peacock’s Emmy-winning comedy “Poker Face” continues to grow. In a recent press release, the streamer announced John Mulaney (“John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA”), Ego Nwodim and Sam Richardson will guest star on Season 2.

“Poker Face” is a mystery-of-the-week series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.

Season 1 premiered on Peacock in January 2023 to rave reviews and quickly became certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. MTV released the nominations for this year’s awards ceremony, with Taylor Swift leading the pack with seven nominations, including Best Video, Best Pop and Biggest Fans.

Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli xcx and Sabrina Carpenter all scored five nominations each, and first-time nominees Chappell Roan and Tyla follow closely behind.

The 2024 MTV EMAs will broadcast live across the globe on Sunday, November 10 from Manchester, United Kingdom. The show will also be available in multiple international territories live on Pluto TV and on-demand on Paramount+.

19 nominees have the chance to score their first ever MTV Ema at this year’s show, including Tinashe and Jimin.

The “Biggest Fans” winners will be voted for at a later date on social via @Mtvema.

Álvaro Díaz’s creative vision has felt almost prophetic the last couple of years. In 2021, he released Felicilandia, an album that twisted reggaeton into all kinds of left-leaning directions, playing with pop-punk energy, Eighties synths, and rock guitars. Then, this April, he dropped Sayonara, a continuation of Felicilandia that pushed even deeper into off-kilter, futuristic beats and styles. All along, he’s been able to find sounds that have propelled the genre forward and introduced listeners to a new alternative lane in reggaeton.

Díaz got his start as a rapper in Puerto Rico’s underground.

The choreographers behind “Wonka” and “Barbie” are among the nominees for the 2024 World Choreography Awards.

With over 200 submissions, Christopher Gattelli (“Wonka”), Jennifer White with Kisa Welham (“Barbie”) and Alison Faulk with collaborators made the shortlist.

In addition to motion pictures, choreographers in episodic television, television specials and television reality shows were also nominated. Jon Boogz and his team were nominated for “Blindspotting.” While the choreographers on “Dancing with the Stars,” dominated the television reality/variety category.

A music genre born in the barrios of Puerto Rico permeated into the mainstream and up the charts. Its story is told through Reggaeton: The Sound that Conquered the World, a new docuseries from Peacock. Executive producer and director Omar Acosta teamed up with Daddy Yankee to spotlight the cultural touchstones, evolution, and impact of Reggaeton. The Oscar-winning actress earned a nomination for best short form music video for Residente’s “313,” which starts with Cruz delivering a poetic narration. She also stars in the music video.

The track also earned a nomination for song of the year — a nomination that goes to songwriters, including Residente, featured artist Silvia Pérez Cruz and Leo Genovese for “313.”

Cruz, 50, won the best supporting actress Oscar at the 2009 ceremony for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She was nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series or movie at the 2018 Emmys for her role as Dontella Versace in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

Nicky Jam has now joined a cohort of reggaetoneros pledging their support for Donald Trump — even if the former president doesn’t seem to know who he is. On Friday night, the Puerto Rican musician joined Trump onstage in Las Vegas to endorse him, but the former president misgendered him in his introduction.

“Do you know Nicky? She’s hot. Where’s Nicky?” Trump said from the stage while looking offstage to find him. Jam then arrived at the podium as Trump corrected his mistake: “Oh, look, I’m glad he came up.

The MTV Video Music Awards celebrated their 40th birthday — and for once, MTV aimed to do right by the legacy. This year’s show was full of clips of classic VMAs moments. Taylor Swift changed into a second dress at the VMAs!

The 34-year-old singer was seen in her next look of the night while posing for photos with other artists in the audience at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday (September 11) at the Ubs Arena in Elmont, New York.

While Taylor began the evening in a Dior dress on the red carpet and for her first win, she changed into a custom Monse dress to continue the party.

Taylor was seen meeting up with singers like Karol G, Shaboozey, Tinashe, and Flavor Flav, as well as Olympic athletes such as Jordan Chiles and Ashleigh Johnson.

Camila Cabello is bringing the Miami beach to the VMAs stage. The C, Xoxo pop star hit the stage at the 2024 Video Music Awards to perform an emotional, cathartic medley of her Magic City songs “June Gloom” and “Godspeed.”

Cabello’s performance started with a video of the singer—with bright blonde hair—singing “June Gloom before Cabello, in real life, this time with her brown hair, approached a laptop and shut the performance off to sing her new single “Godspeed” live.

Chappell Roan continued her journey to superstardom on Wednesday, making a memorable pitstop at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

A cotton candy career of hits becomes a futuristic, post-apocalyptic dream. At Wednesday night’s VMAs, Katy Perry took the stage to deliver a medley of her greatest hits (and her new album, 143) as she celebrated receiving the coveted Video Vanguard Award.

Perry’s performance opened with a montage of her greatest videos. She kicked off her medley of hits by floating in the middle of a circle as she performed “Dark Horse.” Perry was wearing a futuristic, alien-like top as she flew over the crowd and was brought to the ground.

Katy Perry has worn a number of hats at the MTV Video Music Awards over the years, from winner to performer to presenter. Heck, she even hosted one year. But after Wednesday’s VMAs, Perry can add one more elusive title to her impressive resume: Video Vanguard.

Believe it or not, the 2024 VMAs have officially arrived. On Wednesday, the biggest names in music gathered for the MTV Video Music Awards to see who would take home the night’s top prizes.

There are so many celebs expected to attend the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards and we’re recapping every star spotted on the red carpet!

The VMAs are being held this year on Wednesday (September 11) at the Ubs Arena in Elmont, New York.

Megan Thee Stallion is hosting the event, which will air live on the east coast at 8/7c and delayed on the west coast. We’ll be live blogging the event, so stay tuned for all the coverage!

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are set to celebrate the best in music, with Megan Thee Stallion hosting and performing live from the Ubs Arena.

Eminem will open the show with a performance. Other artists set to take the stage include Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, and Sabrina Carpenter.

Other confirmed stars to perform throughout the night include Benson Boone, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa, Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J, and Shawn Mendes.

Taylor Swift leads the pack with 10 noms, including Video of the Year, in which she could break her own record as the only artist to ever three-peat and win five times in the category. Following Swift is her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone with 9, Ariana Grande, Eminem and Carpenter with 6 each, Megan Thee Stallion and Sza (5 each), and Lisa, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims with 4 each.

The red carpet preshow for MTV’s 2024 Video Music Awards is officially underway.

The preshow special, hosted by Dometi Pongo, Kevan Kenney and Nessa, airs live on Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pt on MTV, MTV2, CMT and Logo. It is also being streamed live on MTV’s YouTube channel. The preshow will also feature a special performance by the K-pop group Le Sserafim.

The girl group, a first-time VMAs nominee, will be making their U.S. awards show debut during the preshow. They recently released their fourth mini album Crazy and scored their second Billboard Hot 100 hit with its title track.
