Sarah Bassiuoni is the creator and Executive Producer of Critical Incident, an original series set in Western Sydney (Matchbox / NBC Universal for STAN) - sold to Hulu in the US.
Sarah is a former human rights lawyer who worked for a leading civil liberties organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Defenders. Sarah brings extensive management experience to her work as a showrunner and executive producer. In addition to her LLM, Sarah holds degrees in International Relations and Law from the University of Western Sydney and Graduate Certificates in screenwriting and directing from AFTRS. She also completed the Professional Writing for Television Program at UCLA. Sarah was selected for Screen Australia's Developing the Developer Program, for the Phillip Parson's Fellowship at Belvoir Street Theatre and has also worked as a script assessor for Screen Australia.
Sarah is based in Sydney and works throughout Australia and internationally. She holds Australian, Irish and Egyptian nationality.
Sarah is the daughter of an Egyptian Muslim and Irish Catholic and grew up in Saudi Arabia, the USA and Australia.
