Amy Parry is an independent filmmaker and development producer with a 16-year career in the arts across theatre, screen, and digital media. Her recent credits include directing and producing the music/medical documentary "Waiting Room" (supported by Documentary Australia), serving as executive producer for ABC's "A League of Her Own," and Audible's top trending scripted podcasts, "Beyond Strange Lands" and "Winding Road." She also directed the award-winning short film "Cult Following" and the children's YouTube channel "Rainbow Bop," which amassed over one million views in 2023 thus far.
Amy has a slate of scripted series, factual series and features in development, including her unproduced supernatural YA series pilot, "In Your Dreams," (created by and co-written by Diya Eid) which was shortlisted for the 2022 AWG Monte Miller Awards. She has been a quarter-finalist in the screenwriting competitions The Titan Awards (2022) and Outstanding Screenplays (2023) for her short film "Dance, Dance."
Amy has worked as a Content Director at Screen Queensland, and she continues to work as an external assessor and consultant with the organisation. Before her career in screen, Amy worked in live performance for over 10 years, including performing as a puppeteer with Camp Quality, dancing in Brisbane Festival and Seoul Festival, and performing on the main stage of La Boîte.
