Alex Weill is an award winning violinist trained at The Juilliard School of Music, The Yale School of Music, Vanderbilt University and The Manhattan School of Music. She is a performer and recording artist for top celebrity musicians such as Eminem, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, John Legend, Dr. Dre, Nas, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, SZA, Charlie Puth, Doja Cat, James Blake, Shawn Mendes, Kygo, Hans Zimmer, Philip Glass and many more. She is featured on tours, albums, feature films, commercials, live shows, mainstream TV and radio.
For over a decade, Alex has been a lead violinist for Grammy and Emmy winning music director Adam Blackstone. Alex has performed regularly on shows such as The Oscars, The MTV VMAS, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and many more. She has headlined music festivals with Eminem across the US & UK such as Coachella, Bonaroo and Firefly. She has appeared on the cover of Vogue.com at The Met Gala with Frank Ocean and was featured with Nas in Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 Show streaming on Amazon Prime. You can find her performing alongside Jennifer Lopez in the 2022 feature film, "Marry Me", a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Maluma.
Most notably, in 2018 Alex received a Grammy Winning Certificate for Best R&B Traditional Performance of "How Deep is Your Love" with PJ Morton ft. Yebba, written by the Bee Gees. In addition, Alex received two Grammy Nomination Certificates for her work with PJ Morton on his Grammy Nominated Album "Gumbo Unplugged." Alex garnered her fourth Grammy Nomination Certificate for her performance in "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert" starring John Legend, Sara Bareilles and Alice Cooper, produced by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice. The production was nominated for 13 Emmys and won 5 Emmy Awards. In addition to her work as a violinist, she has composed strings for Questlove, The Roots, Solange Knowles, Robert Glasper, Bastille, Gnash, Olivia O'Brien and Kellindo Parker. She is a guest lecturer at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU Tisch School of The Arts.

She has recorded commercials for Mercedes Benz, IBM, Sonos, Apple and many more.
