Alessandria Bay Greene was born on the west side of Buffalo, New York by a single mother who is and will forever be the breathing ground of her artistic ventures. Her mother, and artist herself, went to a Performing Arts High School which completely changed her trajectory of her life. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts in Painting, an MA in Art Education, and teaches students with disabilities. To save money on a sitter, Alessandria's sister and her would come with her to her college level art courses. From learning Greek Mythology, to making paper from a pair of jeans to figure painting from live models, all she did was breathe art growing up. Learning about different art genres meant more to her than having material things. These early experiences caused her to feel passionately about things and even more deeply about things she'd love to do and make with her own hands. Along with the visual arts, her mother exposed her to different music genres, taught her how to dance, cook, and how to make ordinary things beautiful. To this day, her mother is still an avid painter, her work reflecting commentary on vulnerability in the lives of young people. This engraved love for the arts and intense passion for learning and interest in others that her mother innately holds has now become part of Alessandria as a person.
